I disagree. The Pelicans' fourth best player is probably Solomon Hill.

Let that soak in.

Solomon.
Hill.

Of course they're a 35 win team, they only have 3 players.

Replace AD and DMC with Lilliard and CJ, which is a downgrade in talent

Jrue
Lilliard
Solomon Hill
Terrence Jones? Montiejunas?
Ajinca? Asik?

6th man: CJ

*they can even go follow our route and sign Poythress at the 4 and Shawn Long at the 5

I just think this will be a much better winning team.

The blazers were 23-33 at the trade deadline before nurkic saved their season and they had much more around those two than this lineup would.

And, again, those two have been playing with each other for 4 years. Give the NOLA guys a summer to figure it out.

Maybe it's just me, but does anyone else struggle to understand the Rudy Gobert hype?

He seems to play a lot like Nerlens does every time I've watched the Jazz

Rudy Gobert is the best center in the league.

Wish Embiid was healthy right now because he would have that spot very soon

Wiggins is the most disappointing prospect of the decade. No heart. Don't care how many points he has.

Lol. I wouldn't go that far even though I do agree with you that he's overrated and too many people who only look at points thinks he has played well. Okafor has Wiggins beat by a landslide as the most disappointing prospect in a decade. Can anyone name a higher high end prospect who was taken in the top 3 who has been more disappointing than Okafor? And no I'm not talking about a guy like Anthony Bennett because he wasn't considered a high end prospect nor a guy like Evan Turner.

Yes, a healthy Embiid is the best center, but Gobert has been tremendous.

Evan Turner and Derrick Williams come to mind. But yeah Okafor ugh. I'm giving him next year to improve. As I think the knee really messed with him this year, but I'm not hopeful. I've moved on. Crazy how we go from Noel and Okafor to having Holmes solidify himself as the main number 2.

Evan was disappointing, but at least he's been a net positive, low key stud defender in several seasons of his NBA career. His attitude and his offensive game were never up to snide, but he's still been a functional enough basketball player to generate a positive VORP in 4 of his 7 seasons.

Right now, it's hard to envision when Jahlil is going to elevate from a below replacement level player.

What? Okafor? Evan Turner? Dante Exum? We have guys on this very page, who compared Exum to Kobe Bryant and were begging for the 76ers to draft him.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

Wiggins improved greatly between his rookie and sophomore years, but this year he has regressed heavily. I'm not sure what the cause is, so I'm gonna wait to see how he plays next year before writing him off completely.

Nerlens has very good advanced defensive stats but I find his raw stats to be just around average. 9ppg 6-7rpg with 1.5bpg? How much will you pay for that

Currently watching the Hawks-Bobcats game

I really like how the Hawks play and they really reminds me of our team.

Also quite interesting to see the muscala-ilyasova frontcourt with shooters like dunleavy and bazemore off the bench, great spacing on offense that can run up the score board.

D12-Milsap also shows good chemstry with their high low plays.

He's been the same guy as he was last year with some statistical variance, I'm not sure what you mean by the regression. Even in his rookie year, for 50 some odd games he was very much in line with how he's played the past 2 years. His rookie stats were just dragged down by a really horrible start in his first 25 games. Wiggins is disappointing because he hasn't improved in a meaningful way and he's not a net positive.

Looking back at the numbers, yeah you're right. Wiggins has brought his RPM back to about where it was last year. It was down in the gutter the last time I checked it.

That didn't take long. Actually believe Hinkie would do well there.

I picked them last year as a fun team to watch on league pass, this year it was the TWolves, boy was I wrong on both. Big League wrong. Minny should be better, and Orlando, ugh.

I really thought Hezonja was going to have a break out year this year. He stinks.

This year I'll defer to you guys on a fun team to watch.

Sam would be an interesting hire there. But sounds like they are looking at Grant Hill to run basketball ops? Doesn't seem like he'd hire Hinkie, but maybe I'm wrong.
