Aaron Gordon for the pick anyone? Defensive small ball 4. He's young and is part of that trend that the league is moving towards.

I only say this because the Magic FO might be the easiest to swindle next to the Kings/Pelicans.

For the longest time I was all over the idea of getting Gordon. Now that Towns is showing not to be a major rim protector (still can develop), I am leaning towards a rim protecting big.

With that said, if Magic want to do the deal, sure I would pull the trigger (assuming nothing better presenting itself).

You don't need a shot blocking big to be succesful now, and its not like Towns is horrendous (compared to the other aspects of his defense) at protecting the rim. We need a defensive anchor, maybe Gordon can be just that.

Maybe I just don't see him enough, but I don't get the love for Gordon.

+1 I get the "looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane" vibe from him.

You don't have to trade it for any player, but trading the pick for Kenneth Faried would be selling low on a draft pick as good as ours. The Jazz traded their pick last season in a much weaker draft and got George Hill, who is better than the player you are suggesting the Wolves trade their pick for.

Markets dictate what you can get for what year for year. Years back George Hill was also traded for a pick that became Kawhi Leonard. Just seriously wondering who out there we can get that is a realistic option for both sides

wow dude, where did you come from? Nuggets would trade him for much less, but I guess you want to be the guy who overpays

when you come to buy a car and a dealer offers you a sweet deal you offer to pay him double just because you can and want everyone to know it.

We can easily have Chandler for the pick from them. But let's just trade for Faried :banghead:

I like Chandler also. My point in getting Faried is that there are more viable wing options in free agency then there are power forward options. And I'm not keen on signing 2 free agents to big deals when we could possibly trade for a cheaper option. And I came from the real world, thanks for asking.

#8 for Maker + #19. And at #19 Anunoby is on the board.

FA sign a vet 3D, better than Rush but Rush as a fallback.

C: Towns | Dieng | Aldrich
F: Maker | Bjelica | Dieng
F: Vet 3D | Anunoby | Wiggins
G: Wiggins | LaVine | Dunn
G: Rubio | Dunn | Jones

Milwaukee isn't trading Maker. Let's be realistic here. As perfect as he would be here, he is even more perfect and a better fit in Milwaukee. Our chance to land Maker was last year with the #5 pick in the draft. Maker was my first choice at that time and we took Dunn. He's still years away from being a finished product however

Aldrich and the Wolves pick to Portland for Aminu and a Blazers pick.

I'd do that if I knew Isaac was gone. I might do it regardless. I love the idea because it's plausible and Aminu would be a perfect fit.

If instead of the Blazers pick, we ask for the Cavs pick do you think they'll throw in Davis? Aminu-Davis-Cavs 1st for Aldrich+Wolves pick?
Rest in peace Mamba. There'll never be another Kobe.

If we jumped up to the top three, I would look into what it would take in addition to the pick to swing a trade for Jimmy Butler

It's hard for me to guess what Kris Dunn's trade value is, but considering Thibs' hasn't invested too many minutes in developing the guy I wonder if he could be trade bait.

What do y'all think of a Dunn for Marcus Morris trade? Would Detroit do it? Would we?

Just to play devil's advocate, he averaged twice as many minutes per game than Jimmy Butler did in his rookie year under Thibs. I don't think you can say his minutes investment says much about anything regarding a desire to trade him.

True, but that was on a team that went 50-16.

From trade board. What about...

Dunn + LaVine

For

Josh Jackson (assuming their pick, so if Jackson not your liking, other?) + Value

Value= Covington (small ball 4?) or Oak (can Thibs teach him D?) and/or TLC

Wolves get a defensive SF next to Wiggins...and with their pick draft BPA (but probably a PFOF). Also means Thibs would have 2 rookies on staff, so....

Philly of all teams shouldn't discount LaVine much (injury), and they really liked Dunn at 2016 draft time, and they both seemingly are perfect backcourt duo with Simmons.
