Trade our first round pick for Brooklyns 2 late first.

Pick Dwayne Bacon and Justin Jackson.

Trade Lamb + Sessions for backup PG.
The Charlotte Hornets will win their first round series against the Boston Celtics in the 2021 Playoffs

Let's wait and see where our pick lands. Because if it's a top 3 pick ain't no way :)

I'm not that interested in moving back in this draft regardless of where our pick lands. If we are 10-13 and we miss out on the top guys we like then I could stand moving back a little, but I wouldn't want to move back to 23/26. If anything I'd look to move up, but I'm guessing the price to move up from where we'll likely be picking will be fairly pricey. We just really need to go BPA wherever we land and try to find a real difference maker. I hope that player is a wing or guard so they are more likely to help us sooner.

Not to overstate the obvious but....damn this deserves more attention.

With that in mind, should the Hornets dangle MKG to see if they can land another wing with better playmaking abilities?

What are some of the other options besides a combo guard that can play next to Kemba as well as in place of Kemba? More minutes with Kemba next to Frank and Marco as opposed to Marvin/MKG/Cody?

Also illustrates Batum's importance, even if he drives me nuts with his defense (less Batum guarding SGs is always a good thing, but that's another topic).

I haven't looked closely at ideal candidates but the playmaking wing solves so many issues....takes Kemba off ball to maximize CS. It slots Nic at SF and MKG frequently to PF. Which then frees Marvin to receive additional 2nd unit minutes next to Frank.

Kemba is great with Cody but the lack of playmaking has forced Clifford's hand. So no, I don't believe Kemba requires additional minutes next to Frank/Marco if another primary scorer is acquired, esp. considering Nic is >>>> with Cody.

I would, however, operate with the understanding Frank's a center at least half the time and construct lineups to extract his disproportionate value against Gobert, Deandre, Drummond, Whiteside etc....which is kinda the whole point of a gravity C. And again, the additional wing/combo is key here.

Bridges seems like he might have the potential to fit this mold somewhat well. What do you think?

Bridges isn't much of a playmaker, he's a solid opportunistic scorer but to me he doesn't seem well suited to be a primary ball handler. Monk seems much better suited for this sort of role, or honestly someone like Kennard. Someone who can shoot from range but is comfortable creating with the ball in their hands. A combo guard with size (DSJ, Ntilikina if he falls, George de Paula in the 2nd, Monk, Kennard, Ferguson) makes sense to me. The question is can we get a guy like that that can also be decent on D.

Someone will shake loose we just don't know who. Portland, Utah, OKC, Golden State, and Toronto might shed $$$. Of course Boston, Miami, Houston, etc.....potentially carving out UFA space.

Costs vary greatly but examples include Victor Oladipo, Rodney Hood, McCollum if Portland goes south next season, Norman Powell, Tyler Johnson, Eric Gordon if Morey goes crazy, Lavine, Gallo in a weird ST although fit is debatable, or a Reggie Jackson salary dump with Stanley Johnson attached.

Possibly Wesley Matthews if dragging into February 2018.
