Spectrum Customers Might Miss Last Two Games

Post#1 » by Howard Mass » Sat Apr 8, 2017 5:07 am

Fellow Spectrum Customers,

It's possible we will not be able to watch the final two games of the season.

http://keepmynets.com/

No matter their record, I always love watching The Magic.

It would also suck not to be able to watch "The Americans" or "Fargo".

There's always an alternative to watch whatever you want to watch.

The Magic are the primary reason I have cable, if I can't watch them then I'm not really seeing the reason to keep it.

Spectrum isn't gonna have customers for very long in central Florida. Everyone on Facebook lights them up every post, their service sucks and somehow costs more than Bright House, which I used to think was a pile of **** but would gladly take back now.

So glad I got rid of that steaming pile of crap when I moved. Haven't had any issues with DIRECTV since. Even during the summer thunderstorms, nothing. Couldn't be happier.
I live rent free in your head. You know who you are :D

Not changing this sig until Magic win a championship. Started 6/26/2015.

Brighthouse wasn't great but they were miles ahead of the alternatives.

I have dish now and its good but they have a dispute with WESH which they need to fix.

Used to have Comcast and they almost ruined my wife's credit by sending debt collectors because they claimed we kept their equipment. It was false, we had shipped it and thank goodness i kept the FEDEX shipping slip, what a hassle to get that fixed, they initially kept refusing to fix their mistake. What an incredibly incompetent and unethical company.

With Amazon's recent investment into live streaming NFL games, the door is open for more big players in online sports beyond League Pass and such.

I cut the cable for a while to use Sling TV. Overall it wasn't a bad product but the live sports were awful. The feed would consistently lag and even cut out temporarily.

With a bigger player like Amazon getting involved, we should see companies like Spectrum and Comcast close their doors for good soon enough.

I cut the cord years ago and for watching the Orlando Magic I just use someone's Spectrum login that has cable to access the Fox Sports app. In return, I gave them my Netflix login so they didn't need to subscribe.

While it is pathetic that many content providers have not figured out a solution to decouple themselves from the cable providers, it has gotten better since cutting cable.

If this is to happen they'll be losing 5 cable subscriptions in my family alone.

I use Sling now with a Roku. Honestly better than cable. I get every Magic game and don't have many issues. Have had no problems with any live sports.

The cable model is crumbling and while I did like Bright House, Spectrum does not have anyone thrilled.

If you do not like sports, it's definitely a good idea to cut the cord.

Along with PayStation Vue and Sling TV, I believe the new YouTubeTV also offers fox sports... I think it's only available in select markets right now though. Nail in the coffin for cable now that google has joined. https://tv.youtube.com/welcome/

I live in Texas. I can only watch the Magic on League Pass. So it doesn't help me there.

For any standard TV I could want, Sling was fantastic. I loved the On Demand feature to replace needing a DVR.

But again, despite paying extra for business tier internet speeds Sling often struggled with live sports. If I tried working while watching a game (a very regular event) the feed was laggy as hell.

Sling is a cute product and a great first step. Amazon will help take things to a new level.

Seems to me the cable companies are starting to compensate for cutting the cord by changing alot higher for high speed Internet. Just look at what Spectrum charges for modest speeds, its ridiculous. If you want super high speed its a lot of money.

Thats wild. I have not had that issue at all thankfully. I'm on 60 mb/s.The one thing I do have is a lag. I am probably 45 seconds behind, but it's not a huge deal. Interested in how it goes with Amazon for sure.

This is exactly right. It is a huge point of contention for me with them. I was supposed to get 100 mb/s and they lied and promised I would. Nope, I get 60. I absolutely hate Spectrum.
