Also, this may be his real MVP moment. Every year has one. This feels like it.

I just posted this in the thread on the PC board re: MVP moment. But remember when cupcake won? This was darn near the exact shot he hit over the Raptors. To a tee.

Just re-watched Westbrook's 10th assist to Christon. It's comical how badly the Nuggets were just completely ignoring him. His man was basically standing in the lane, even before Russ drove and kicked to him.

Why Christon was on the floor in crunch time down 13 is beyond me, but fortunately it paid off (for once) because the defense had so little respect for him they just completely ignored him and left him standing alone in the corner.
Said in a thread about which point guards would make OKC better if they replaced Westbrook:

Those Rockets fans are so salty OMG. I really hope we can play well again and upset them in the playoffs. Then the spurs can sweep us, I don't care.

On the other hand, glad to see the respect coming from a lot of dubs fans.

The non-bandwagon Warriors fans are a pretty fair and good group. The bandwagon fans are the ones that make them look bad.

I honestly was out and couldn't watch this. I was checking occasionally on my phone from the store and thought it was about over. Saw the final and literally started laughing. I don't care if it's ugly. And that 10th to Semaj was all kinda wide open, but he's just had such a historic season, and it's been so amazingly fun to watch.

OK now I also have to add the coaches vouching for him to the total count of players and opponent arenas. The Harden bit is just as we have always said.

“Russell Westbrook to be the only player since Oscar Robertson to average a triple-double. No disrespect to their team, but I think James Harden has more help over there,” Nuggets coach Michael Malone said before the game. “Earlier in the year, people said he can't keep this up for 82 games, and he has. What he's done is really something that you see once in a lifetime, so my vote would go to Russell Westbrook.”

I laughed so hard when Westbrook finally got his record making triple-double when Semaj Chrison made his second 3 in the last 10 games. You can't make this up.

I also thought this time you won't be able to stage a late comeback, but Russ proved me wrong again. 50 points on 67.6% TS%, 10 assists (should have been at least 15 but Gibson missed several gimmies at the rim and his teammates shot an atrocious 1-13 from 3), 16 rebounds (including the biggest one of the game) and only 2 TOs. Incredible.

I don't think we won't be meeting them until the conference finals.

I think spurs is Houston/OKC matchup next round

I don't know why he was in in crunch time, but you realize this is exactly how Roberson is defended every game, for 30 minutes! It is comical, and the reason why oladipo can't regularly get to the rim in okc, and why adams can't make his one post move. The lane is clogged, and the outlet guys (Roberson, semaj) can't or won't shoot, wide open jumpers. Just a slight problem
