I hate the lakers and hope they fall out of the top 3 but it would be interesting if the Lakers land one of the top picks and pass on ball. I'd be interested to see chip on his shoulder lonzo. Thats my favorite scenario for the suns drafting him. I would guess that would end all the 'i want to be a laker' nonsense pretty quick and probably forever.

That would be **** amazing, but I highly doubt that would happen. Though if they don't get the top 3, I wonder how badly Magic wants Lonzo and if it's enough to make a stupid move to set the Lakers back in their rebuild.
SHAZAM!
Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Watching more and more Josh Jackson he reminds me of Latrell Sprewell A LOT.
He is a couple inches taller, but Sprewell always played bigger than his size. Their style of play on both ends is really similar.
I like that, he was an special player and Jackson can have the same impact on any team.

Niiiiiceeee, congrats! I wish I came up with this!

(I just hope he won't choke the coach, and will have a small family, so he can feed them from a decent NBA salary

Yeah, it's true that he was a little bit of a headcase, but on the court he was a terrific two-way player. I loved his intensity and playmaking abilities.

He'd probably have a 1 hour special on ESPN where he would burn all his family's Lakers gear, say he would kill magic in 1 on 1 and guarantee lonzo would bring 7 championships to the suns.

After Suns couldn't win the championship he would blame the white guys and how slow they are. Luckily we have only Bender as a white guy. (Assuming Len is gone)

Re: College basketball and 2017 draft - Poll updated one LAST time
Gotta say, our current 23 YO starting SF just went 8/8 for 21 and 7 with 2 steals and 0 turnovers. I think that's pretty good. I think drafting a SF creates a true positional dilemma this FO hasn't really had to face yet.
Shout BPA all you want, all day long, but man, we currently have one of the league's best young small forwards on this roster. If we think BPA is Josh Jackson, and we agree, then I'm looking for that godfather offer. And someone should make it.
... Same question - but for Boston. Say they're at 3/4/5. They used last year's pick on a SF. Won't they be looking to move up (or down, or out) as well?
EDIT: Now for one more. Ulis just put up 20 and 10 in 30 minutes, with a 3.3/1 TO ratio. Those are essentially ideal PG numbers. So we're going to draft another PG and just... bench Ulis?
I think my preference would be to draft either Fultz or [gross b/c LAL but if we have to] Ball, and play that guy as our sixth man, change of pace guy. With Bender.
Holy **** that would be some kind of young talent.

I just looked at it again... I don't think any one of the top 9 teams would pass on Ball/Fultz in order to trade down. If we get:
#1 pick - I bet we take Lonzo
#2 - Lonzo or Fultz
#3, #4 - Trade down for Ntilikina
#5 - Ntilikina
That's it. That's my whole damn board.

I have Boston taking Jackson no.1 as he's the perfect Danny Ainge type and wouldn't get in the way of what Isaiah Thomas is doing on offense.

Right now 6th is still the worst, but it would require us to win last game and Lakers to lose out, and then it would come to a coin flip that we lost AND both us of being jumped by three teams to get into top 3. If we tie, they win the coin flip (which doesn't mean anything to them), and, say, the Magic and Knicks and Philly got top 3, then Philly would get the Lakers pick which would be pick 5 and we would get pick 6, while Boston got the 4th pick.

Well, we might be "set" at every position with Ulis/Booker/TJ/Bender/Chriss (You could say we don't have a true center, but true centers aren't the most abundant commodity in the NBA). The thing I am most concerned with that group is defense. I think Bender and Chriss could both be 1+ block and steal guys, but will they defend well without fouling and can they handle those true centers? Booker and TJ are currently weak defender. Ulis is pesky as hell, though his size leaves him open to exploitation. I really think Josh Jackson is the best fit and gives us great lineup versatility. I'm fine with making the rookie earn his starting job, as our current guys have demonstrated their skills and earned their time, but we still need defense. I trust Watson to navigate egos and find roles and minutes for everyone, and Ball really seems like the only player who would cause a stir if he didn't start thanks to pops.

I really like this comparison, been having a hard time thinking of a good comparable player for JJ but I think that nails it on the head. Versatile, tough wing who brings it on both ends of the floor.
I was a fan of Sprewell as well, gotta say this comparison makes me want JJ a bit more...

We will be drafting a PG in my opinion. If we do draft JJ(he is a great player look up my previous draft posts a year ago some more that a year in regards to this draft class) then TJ might get shipped out. I expect a lot of draft day trade scenarios. I believe Phoenix will be in the mix.
