ACC Scheduling
The Leafs are scheduled to play their two home games on Monday and Wednesday.
Would it be safe to say that the Raptors will get Sunday and Tuesday?
I don't see Raptors having to play Saturday and then wait till Tuesday for a game.

Often times in the NBA playoffs games are every three days.

Pretty sure they could both play on Monday at different times if the league arranged it as such the basketball/hockey conversion only takes about 4 hours. Otherwise I'm assuming they'd have to wait till Tuesday.

NBA doesn't go every other night in the opening round. In fact I think in the past we've done exactly that and played Saturday then Tuesday. They are usually more working towards having as many weekend games in the first round as possible so the first week of playoffs tends to give teams extra days off during weekdays.
It's pretty much a lock that we'll be playing Saturday and in the afternoon.

Indeed, especially in the first round, with arena conflicts. Besides the ACC, you have the Wizards/Caps and Buins/Celtics in the first round of their playoffs. If the Bulls get in, which seems likely, there will be a date issue there, too, with the Black Hawks. By the second round of both leagues' playoffs, there usually is some shakeout and scheduling tightens up.

Re: ACC Scheduling
If that's the case, then game 2 on Tuesday seems like a guarantee but game 1 could still fall on Saturday or Sunday I think.
Last season, we went
Round 1: Saturday then Monday
Round 2: Tuesday then Thursday
Round 3: Tuesday then Thursday
so 1 or 2 days rest are both options

Re: ACC Scheduling
The schedulers will figure it out. This isn't the first time there are 2 playoff teams in the same arena.
Schedules for both NHL and NBA playoffs should be released soon.

Nothing like getting hammered in the AM and going strong past 2am. Love a Saturday home opener

i don't watch hockey, but aren't the capitals like the spurs of the NHL? Is the series going the long distance or will the capitals take care of business and make this thing over in four?

Likely 4, possibly 5.
I'd be extremely surprised if the Leafs play more than 2 playoff home games this year.
Interviewer: Championship #2?
Ujiri: Hey...We're gonna get it. I don't know when it'll be, but we're gonna get it. Just like I said we'll get the first one and I said I didn't know when we'd get it...But we will. Guarantee you we will.

Looking at last years sched..
They need an eastcoast game at 12:30pm on Saturday. Cavs will most likely be playing on sunday at 3:30pm. That leaves Boston, Washington or us.
So its pretty much going to be us.

Re: ACC Scheduling
The NHL should change their schedule altogether so their playoffs line up before the NBA Playoffs... Might gain more viewership that way. I don't give a damn about hockey if there is something better to watch...
On a personal level I hate going to the sportsbars here to watch some Raptors playoff basketball, only to have them flip on an NHL game with two random ass American teams playing. Drives me nuts...
