It would be ideal for MLSE but i don't think the NBA head office and NHL head office care about ML square. They're going to put us where they and their networks want

Nope !

This "schedule" came out last year too and the nba changed it and put us on Saturday at 12:30.

Where playing Saturday at 12:30, accept it, live it, love it.

You're probably right and it will be shown on either NBATV or TVO while requesting donations during the break.

If that schedule holds up then most likely the Raptors will NOT play Saturday at 3pm because they will move a premier game to the ABC timeslot. My guess is that Boston gets the 3pm ABC timeslot.

On second thought, ABC will probably have the Cavs one day and the Warriors on the other. 3pm is early for the West coast, but it has happened before.

Who doesn't want to watch the Warriors beat the Blazers by 30?

My guess is Sat or Sun 5:30pm if this is true!!

It's still hard to say, NBA TV might pick up a game on Saturday, especially if the main networks want to drop a Raps/Bucks game which could schedule us at 12:30pm.

I'm expecting our regular playoff opening slot on Saturday and then a Tuesday game 2. Not uncommon to have 2 days between games.

Also, on the bright side...at least we now have a tradition of opening up the playoffs? :P
I actually like it, just so I don't have to wait any extra hours and can head downtown nice and early.

Imagine Raptors/Leafs play on same day and Raptors early game goes into multiple overtimes.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Nothing like getting hammered in the AM and going strong past 2am. Love a Saturday home opener

We are 0-3 in Saturday 12:30 Game 1's with this core. I am open to a change in schedule

Hence the need for booze. I can only imagine how much more fun it will be when we actually win

Same speculation every year. We saw the same proposed schedule and it changed where NBATV picked up a 12:30 game. We will get that game. If for some reason this year they decided not to add that game we will get 5:30 or 7:00 slots. No chance we get ABC game on either Saturday or Sunday.

We should embrace it at this point and take advantage.

Virtually every Raptors' game with a big build up(excluding season openers)results in a woeful disappointment. We do better when the games are coming fast and furious and no one expects much. I'm confident that the Raps would have lost that first game back after the all-star break/trade deadline vs. the Celtics had Lowry played. The disappointment from his injury replaced the need for the disappointing loss. Hence we won.

Would it be safe to say that the Raptors will get Sunday and Tuesday?

I don't see Raptors having to play Saturday and then wait till Tuesday for a game.

Pretty sure they could both play on Monday at different times if the league arranged it as such the basketball/hockey conversion only takes about 4 hours. Otherwise I'm assuming they'd have to wait till Tuesday.

Can't risk it with playoffs. Guys come in the mornings to shoot around plus both an NHL and NBA game can go to overtime for ever.
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

guess it depends how many pacific teams get home court. if the Clippers get HCA i can see a start at 10:30 but i still doubt that the NBA are going to stick the Warriors at 10:30. which probably means that their is only 1 realistic 10:30 start. Overall i believe the NBA would want the GSW, Cle, and OKC/Hou in the 3PM or 8PM TNT time slots which might mean that the 10:30 games are moved up to 9:30

I think we stress the team out because we as fans are so tense and over the top. This team is built a bit different and toughter mentally and physically with Ibaka & PJ. Also DD, Klow, Cojo are not new to this at all anymore.

I expect them to be ready mentally not matter what time this season.

To be honest, what MLSE is doing is a good thing. The dual screen will create a sense that BOTH teams are important.
