Still an outside chance for a 3 way tie at 32-50 sac up 20 in the third to get their 32nd win, minny ckoked again tonight against a westbrookless okc, they could still beat houston 2mw but i wouldn't hold my breathe, hopefully the rockets rest everybody

8th pick? Or 8th spot? But yes... they are... Nuggets were eliminated after they blew a big lead against the Thunder who beat them on a last second Westbrook 3.

In other news... can the Wolves win a game...

Of course, the Mavs need to not win another one if they are to profit from any of these other teams winning. Not sure how hard the Nuggets will play tonight. The Grizzlies will also play their bench tomorrow so who knows.

Nice, this is just what we need. Wolves should definitely win this one, even if they don't try.

Isn't Sacramento ahead of us now? As long as we lose and Mindy wins, we get 7th?

Just confirmed. If we lose and Minnesota wins, we have the 7th pick -- which is huge. Weeks ago, we were worried we would get 11th.

No sir if we ties theres a coin flip to determine draft order if we fail to win a top 3 pick

That seems crazy they don't go off head to head record before coin flip? Oh well.

I heard it wasn't a coin flip but a random draw that is the tie breaker.

Portland up 5 against NOP so they can tie us and force a coin flip for 9th and we can drop to 10th pick.

Well at least new orleans won, I'm not too disappointed since we are at 9th and had we lost tonight we still could have been 9th if sac won the coin flip, im just disappointed that we didn't start tanking a month ago

The difference between 8th and 9th is non-existant the issue here was not tanking harder before, not winning the last game.

I fully expect us to draft the remaining PG who will likely be Ntilikina or Smith, most likely the frenchie.
If all PGs are drafted ahead of where we pick, I think they might try to swing a deal for Bledsoe using the pick and Powell's contract.

So 99% chane we will get the #9 Pick. Well at least Top10, but this is basically a 4-5 Player Draft. After that you could end up with the next Jonny Flynn. ._.

Exactly and people were ragging on me a month ago so im not a real fan and how can i root for loses etc and now we sit at 9 when we could have been 5 or said had we not won a few of those meaningless games (Washington, clippers, Milwaukee)

I think it's a two sided coin though. Obviously we want to get the best pick possible, but if we win because our young guys are fighting and Dirk is being Dirk, I don't think it warrants getting too upset in my opinion.

Bledsoe misses too many games to be counted on as a core piece IMO.

If the Mavs don't see a player they like at 9, then I would rather see them trade down and/or into the future. But not trade the pick away for an oft injured or mediocre vet.

:o Sometimes I really don't think some guys really don't understand basketball. To call a 21ppg scorer (44% fg\ 33% fg3) + 6.3apg mediocre is just so stupid. If you want to bring up the injuries, then that's understandable; but, this guy is better than any guard on this team and by a wide margin. He would immediately be a top 2 player on this team if he came here.

Are u referring to bledsoe? If so i don't think anyone called him mediocre, the problem is contract and injuries, if he had 4 years left on his deal itd be a no brainer otherwise its a lose lose, u tradefor him, he gets hurt, wasted pick, u trade for him, he stays healthy plays like the borderline all star he is, now u have to max him in 2 years, the same time barnes will be looking for a max, and noel will be on a max, now u have three role players on a max deals, all elite role players but still role players, no stars and stuck in 7th or 8th seed purgatory. I'd much rather draft a guy, even if he's a super 6th man at best, and keep him cheap for 4 years while some of these other contracts fall off

Yes, your point is well expressed. Even if you dislike the player, you could just say that too, but...

if Frank makes it to 9 we draft him I think and he has the bigger upside being he is 6'5" and has a 7' wingspan. Also if he sucks at PG he can hit 3's and play SG without being a 6'3 Jason Terry type. Speaking of there is this Curry kid who would fit better at SG next to a bigger defensive stopper at PG like Ntilinka could end up being.

Noel needs to spend the summer shooting and hanging with Dirk to develop his offense.

Wes is okay if he stays but trading him might make sense but that could take some time and he needs to rebuild his trade value which might happen before the TDL next season.

Barnes is a SF to me and though RC likes him as a PF similar to how Marion was played here he too needs to work on his 3 pointers and shooting in the off season.

Dirk and Curry need to run shooting clinics for the rest of the team.

Hammons hopefully will develop some additional drive in the off season since this season was devoted to learning how to stay out of foul trouble.

Powell showed some shooting skills late int he season but I kind of doubt he is going to ever become decent enough to stretch the court enough. Trading him may be tough as well but like Wes he may sell himself into being traded by the TDL next season.
