Settling, I don't think any of them have been as a corner floor spacer. He's been initiating the offense a lot so far.

Nah, they've been open shots, just all short like he has no legs under them. Nothing forced. He s also driving and looking for the kick-out.

I see, thanks for the insight. I wonder if it would be better for him to turn down some of those open shots, even if it does mean driving into defenders closing out short. Can likely get a higher percentage shot for someone else given how Bender just isn't a good shooter at this stage. 5 missed 3's means it's not a good shot regardless of how open it is.

Honestly this is probably the most aggressive I've seen Bender in terms of attacking off the dribble, and he hasn't been taking bad 3s or anything, they just haven't been falling. He's had a few nice passes today that would have been assists if they weren't landing in the hands of our tank fortified bench. I'm fine with him taking these shots, he needs to get used to taking them so it'll be normal for him once they start falling.

I think it's not a negative if he further develops his 3 pt game. But yes, that shouldn't be primarily the way he is used, so hopefully that changes.

They'll start calling for him eventually. As long as they are open looks and not forced shots I'm good with it tonight. He's also been driving fairly often.

It's just an early summer league game.
