Jazz in 6. Finally, Lob City is broken up by offseason. The series win would also be a factor in Hayward's free agency decision.

Not at all. I see them making the conference final. Gobert is the real deal.

Are Utah beating Dubs if they make to the conference semifinals?

Edit: This series Jazz is 7

We also face the Kings twice in the near future. I think it's time Yabu pays back some of that free money he's been given his entire career and bounces Fox for a nice 2 week ankle sprain.

The match up that is interesting to me and why I give the Clippers the edge is Gobert is relied upon to score on a team that badly needs it. DeAndre Jordan is not any points he gives them is a bonus. DeAndre will mainly be focused on making Gobert into just a 1 way player.

Clippers are 8th in the league in offense while Utah is 1st in the league in defense. This is a classic offensive v Defensive battle and if history tells us anything its a great defensive team has the edge in a series like this.

With that being said, Utah is a 28th in offense and Clippers are 12th in defense showing that they are more balanced.

Clippers win the matchups, with that being said although the Clippers are more balanced by a good margin, The Jazz defense will give them a run for their money in every match up losing in 7 to a MUCH more talented roster.

Jazz in 6 because they have home advantage.

I'd say Clippers in 6, but wouldn't be surprised if the Jazz beat them in less than 6 too.

That is incorrect. Clippers have 3-1 H2H there for tie breaker. Considering same record, Clippers have HCA. Last game of season is Spurs for the Jazz, Kings for the Clippers. So Clippers gotta lose, Jazz win for this to happen.

You must be using points per game as your criteria for offense and defense. Flawed as it doesn't take pace into consideration. The Jazz have the slowest pace in the league and the Clips are middle of the pack. Points per 100 possessions would be what you should look to. Clips are 5th offensively and 12th defensively while the Jazz are 12th offensively and 3rd defensively.

The playoffs typically settle into a slower pace, which is Utah's forte. I'm picking the Jazz in six, but frankly I wouldn't be surprised with any outcome other than a sweep by either team.

True that on all of your points, pace is true and it's much easier for a better defensive team to grind out series which is a very similar series to the Clippers V Grizzlies series we have seen the last few seasons.

With that being said, playoffs are also based matchups and knowingly the Clippers have majorly underperformed based on their talent with that being said one of the things that will help keep the Jazz in closer games is hacking their 3rd wheel in DeAndre Jordan.

With that being said I would be very surprised. if this series didn't go at least 6.

Agreed. I think that this will be the most competitive first round series. A must watch...looking forward to it.

It depends who gets HC. Voted Clippers in 7, maybe even 6. Jazz no playoffs experience might be a deciding factor.

I dunno I symphatyze the Jazz to be honest. Yet it would be better for us if the Jazz get dropped in the first round so we can get a better shot at Hayward and Pierce has a longer PO run in his las hoorah.
Good assessment:

Will favor the team with HCA. This one is going to seven games and you want Game 7 to be at home.

All pressure and expectation is on the Clippers, HCA or not, as they have had fleeting 'success' in previous playoff runs.
