Its been a few years since I watched but I thought it's finish was weirder than ever. Becomes a bit of a head ****

you know, there are two sides to the coin.

on the one hand, Lynch made fun of soap operas by the soap the characters themselves watch in the series (House MD, anyone?) and the cheesiness of certain scenes and plot lines. but, on the other hand, it's a very thin line between being a smart parody and actually turning into the parody'ed yourself. there certainly are some difficult moments to get through because of this and you should be critically knocked due to that.

all in all, though, somebody had to go through these growing pains to make certain parts of television what they are today. you can't compare Twin Peaks with some of the great series that have come out recently, yet such a discussion would be like comparing Bill Russell to Shaquille O'Neal. so that's also something that has to be taken into account when cringing over certain scenes.

Lost (which practically is The Prisoner crossed with Twin Peaks) wouldn't have had all the success it had, if it wasn't for Twin Peaks.

Last night I watched Sing Street on Netflix. Its probably my favorite movie that I've seen in the past year or so. It's set in 1985 in Ireland and about a teenage boy who starts a band in order to impress a girl. If you like 80s music, or that era or feel good movies, check it out. It has a 97% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Here is the trailer...

Did anyone watch Baskets? Season 2 just finished recently. I haven't heard many people talking about that show, but I think its kind of brilliant.

Anybody watching Trial & Error?

I'm enjoying it much more than I thought I would. Basically murder case version of Arrested Development.

I also quite like Designated Survivor, another show I didn't expect to enjoy.

Really excited for Walking Dead tonight.

My gf never watched Buffy when it was originally on so we are power watching all 7 seasons right now. We are about half way through.

It's a quality show.

I am about to finish season 1, I normally watch shows pretty slow because my wife will not let he watch in peace.

Ive been watching a lot of horror/suspense/thriller type movies on Netflix lately. Found some pretty good ones.

Been thinking about starting breaking bad or rewatching walking dead. Believe it or not I have never watched BB.

I'm watching Shameless (the US version).

It's deplorable - in a sickly funny kinda way.

Spoiler:
I was about to lose my **** in the 3rd episode where Agent Cooper falls thru space into a box and then for 20 minutes he's just slowly walking around in the box, up the ladder, down the ladder. :banghead:

The Michael Cera cameo was pretty funny.
