It wouldn't be fair to hold the fact that you can't count and do math against you when some people just sent me a contract that said "4 year max"

So if you just stated "4 year max" they aren't going to sign?

no I'm just saying if you said "max" anywhere in the offer, I'm treating it as a max offer. Even if the numbers you sent me are wrong.

Provided your team has the cap space.

Word. I'm guilty of just saying "4 year max offer" is why I asked, but I've got like 55 mil space so I'm in the clear.

People when sending in offers, it is nice to know depth chart of the team and cap space that you have to work with. I am not really going to want to look through everyone's page to find that key information. Also it will not hurt if you would include some sort of pitch.

PG: [Chris Paul] / J.J Barea
SG: Lance Stephenson
SF: Matt Barnes
PF: Jarell Martin
C: Al Jefferson / Deyonta Davis

I'm pretty much done trading for KD. He already left me in a previous game when I had Curry and Lebron next to him.

KD leaving was a stunner. I traded my entire draft for him, now I'm pretty much screwed. I guess I'll see what I can get for CP3 now.... now I know how Russ feels..lol

It'd be nice for a future GMAT if you could email the "Agent" before making a trade when you have a Free Agent to be to see if they would re-sign or even if a move might make them less likely to resign with your team. It would be a bit more realistic.

Because tampering doesn't happen in the NBA...But yes it would have to be with permission when working out a trade. I was more thinking if you have Kevin Durant, you could ask the agent if he is leaning towards re-signing or if you were to make a certain trade, would it increase/decrease odds of Durant returning. It would reduce the blind planning teams have to do now and the frustration people feel losing a superstar.

Good idea.

IF, I convince myself to play next game, I'll just build my team around JR Smith, that way I won't end up heart broken, but Earl can never disappointment me.

A while ago players would act as agents for players who they would not sign. It was fun and more interactive but of course people started to collude and ill let you sign or trade you player x if you let me win the bid etc.

That's why we went to people outside the game. Of course if you know the people handling free agency there is a natural bias in line with our favorite players or team. Eg I like players who could play for the Warriors Rockets another who favors Jazz Grizzlies etc.

GSW has ~49M in cap and are willing to take on salaries with players with potential as incentive.

MIA has 18M in cap and would rather take on a vet with playoff/championship experience than most of the tier 3 FAs so lemme know if you're trying to move productive vets.
