How much does team record factor into rankings, because KAT is averaging 25 and 12 on 61TS% with a 120 ORtg on a team that's trying to win but can't help blowing leads in the second half. He has two less wins than a team headed by two top 20 players in Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins.

Cousins wasn't on that team for very long, and they had a lot of injuries.

Even when Cousins was on the Kings he wasn't too far from KAT in the wins column.

Sure, but Cousins is a much better defender and didn't have an elite playmaker like Ricky Rubio.

If you are using logic more flawed than our current government, why isn't Booker #1?

Something like this:

1. LeBron James

You don't have to look hard to go back to the 2015 Atlanta Hawks.

None have scored 70. So why not put him #1? Why are you stopping at 5?

Well that would just be silly.

Admit it. You didn't even want a discussion. You just wanted to see the reaction of you placing him in your top-5.

Feel very odd having Boogie in the top 20, I genuinely feel like he has to have something to show for all these years in the league now. Could easily move Blake up one and put in Hayward at 20. Idk.

Considering I've seen every game he has played in the NBA I think I can safely assume he's extremely special. He's not top 5 now but before he hits his prime he will be. He's definitely top 20 if age means anything to this discussion which I think it should as his ceiling is insane.

He does have something to show for it.

2 terrible owners, at least 3 GMs, 7? coaches. About 60-70 different teammates, most of whom are out of the league now. And the honor of making some seriously **** lineups at least a little dangerous while he was on the floor. In your long list of people you have above him only a handful could have done more under the circumstances. In fact many of them have been on teams that have struggled to win just as badly, as you anoint KAT, forget how CP3's New Orleans days ended, that Isaiah won no more on the Kings, with Cousins, that Davis has all of one 8th seed, what people thought of Curry before the cavalry arrived etc etc. etc. The difference is that while their organizations failed for stretches, none of them have failed as long or hard as the Kings through the midst of their ownership crisis and 11 straight years out of the playoffs.

I understand all that but I guess I've just been hearing a lot of stories lately about what a terrible teammate he was at Sacramento. The way he used to treat rookies, the amount he used to cuss people out for tiny mistakes... it is obviously different from his play on the court so I'm probably biased but I just feel like someone like that will still hurt your team.

Guys who are definitely top-20

PG: Harden/Mestbrook/Curry/Paul/Lowry
SG: None
SF: James/Kwahi/Durant/Giannis/Butler
PF: Davis/Green/Milsap (can't believe how many people ignore him)
C: Gobert

That's just 14 though, so I'll need 6 more. George is probably better then he looked most of the year. Wall's the best 2nd tier PG. I'm comfortable with those two, but need 4 more.

Cousins/Jokic/Towns are all great offensive centers, but are limited on D. Thomas, Lillard and Irving are also great on offense but give back a bunch on D. Hayward is in the mix at SF, while Conley and Gasol keep Memphis solidly over .500 without much help (Parsons  ). I'll go with Hayward, Conley, Cousins and Jokic for 17-20. So 7 pg, 0 sg, 7 sf, 3 pf, 3 C.

I'm a huge Booker fan and I expect him to become one of the best in the game but you asked for current top 20 players. He's not even top 50 right now, probably not even top 100. Now, ask for a list of top 20 players to build around and he'll get some action but it's absurd to count him among the 20 best current players IMO.

I'm actually surprised to see KAT on so many lists. Bigs that are terrible on defense usually get killed for it Here, no matter how good their offense is.

Is that in order? I have to say I am surprised you have Isaiah so high. It's very justifiable, just that I'm surprised you rank him that high considering the value you place on defense.
