Well at least that question, of will he or won't he leave, is finally answered.

WHY?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!! We have lost 50 games for the 3rd straight year and he keeps pushing the triangle on coaches who have never run it. He stirs up controversy with his tweets and articles. I am not sold on him for the future. He'll draft somebody for the triangle and then leave in 2 years and we won't run it anymore.

mike d'antoni use to coach this team and this team was ass. we constantly trashed the guy. all about how he needs specific types to have a winning basketball team (because apparently the greatest coaches of all time won without any talent) before that he coached the suns and probably should have ended up winning a chip. he's coaching the rockets now and they're one of the best teams in basketball.

putting together a winning ball club was going to be nothing short of herculean, considering how strapped for talent we are. phil jackson wasn't likely going to change that overnight, and a top 5 player wasn't going to walk through that door for us at any point in time.

I am not happy with some of the moves he has made, but this team needs to have stability first and foremost, and a vision to coalesce over time. this is a good thing. now, they need to follow through with a direction for the future of this team.

If you can function in the triangle you can function in any system.

Is that the goal? Why not play to your roster's strengths?

You know. Like every good NBA team.

He's so busy trying to prove his system works that he'll sacrifice season after season and hide it behind "rebuilding". He's trying to win and failing.

I'm indifferent. I've said this time and time before. The problem with the Knicks is the fact, the Team President is not allowed to institute a much needed house cleaning like never before. When Donnie Walsh was in charge, he talked about giving the people who worked under Isiah another chance. Why? We're not talking about coal miners. We're talking about educated suits. It makes perfect sense now, thinking about how Walsh was undermined during the Melo trade negotiations.

There's a reason why coaches, free agents want nothing to do with the Knicks and it's not the circus moments on the court. It's because they're constantly undermined. This is why Phil Jackson has removed himself from MSG most of the season.

That's the challenge of the Knicks, you gotta fight the internal politics before this corporation KNOWN to make horrific deals on the basis of their buddy system with agents of players, undermines the authority of the guys brought in to correct the ship.

Good luck, Phil.

3 straight 50 game losing seasons but do just enough winning to raise the pick

A mountain of terrible transactions

Attacking his own players via social media to try to divert blame from himself

But but but he didn't trade our draft picks

The bar is set so low and yet he still trips over it.

Worst FO in sports. Can't wait to hear the excuses for the next 2 years

This senile old fart just won't go away. The guy is a proven loser when it comes to building teams.

What a (Please Use More Appropriate Word) organization.
