The question is TJ Warren a $22M man this summer or a $24M man next summer? That would probably be the max salary he could be offered.
Should we be paying TJ Warren 25% of our cap? Is he one of our "three stars" for a championship run? I don't think so. He is a great starter level/depth level player. Its with players like TJ that most teams get themselves into cap hell.
TJ might be one of the players on this roster most likely to be traded this summer. He is a young player with promise. He has good trade value. For a team looking for a package of players for a star, or for more of a sure thing than a pick, TJ would be a good option. If the Suns draft Jackson, he should be traded.
Just to be clear I was pointing out what it would cost the Suns to pay TJ max. I think we should try to extend him this summer for less than max if he will take it. How much should we offer him ... way more than Len for sure. I think Warren is much like the Joe Johnson we got from Boston. I would hate to see us move TJ and then have him explode onto the NBA scene next year.

Yeah, you just can't keep letting guys go...oh, "we'll find someone better, he might cost too much" makes no sense. Extend him to a good deal for both him and us and get past us...then he will be tradeable. He obviously has a premier talent in scoring, and he will always have trade value.
