Im not a Drake stan. I like Drake's music that i will admit to, but he hasn't been great in a long time. A stan believes every project is better than the last and I still believe his earlier work is the best he's put out. Kendrick fans think everything this guy does is amazing when it's not.

It's not amazing according to you? Dont hate on something because you don't like people loving it, huh? Can talk sht about Drake all day long but if theres someone who likes him then I don't blame them simply because I don't like Drakes music

Na I don't mind when people don't like Drakes music, nor do I mind when people think Kendrick's subpar albums are amazing, but it's the shoving down people's throats that bothers me. The "you just don't get what he's trying to say" to counteract his boring storytelling lines or the "rap isn't just about the beat dawg." when we bring up the fact that his music doesn't bump. I mean I always hear Kendrick's album regardless but literally the best song he came out with recently was that "diss a rapper before my project drops" song that wasn't even on the album.

People overhype albums a bit on here but I'll reserve judgement until I give it a listen. Kendrick is one of the best right now, arguably the best so my expectations are high.

What did y'all think of the Migos album? I wasn't really around this site at the time that dropped so I missed the commentary. Don't think it's legendary or anything but I like it. It's a fun album. Those are talented dudes although they aren't the deepest content wise.

I'd say this was his worst album yet, but even then, his worst album is better than 99% of hip-hops. It's like when people are saying Steph Curry had a down year.

I'm not a big Drake guy. Too much of a swagger jacker for my tastes. He has a good ear though.

I was skeptical at first about the dual album thing, but it makes a lot more sense after listening to the album from start to finish.

One thing I was wondering about is that every track on the album ends with a period. I have a theory that the DAMN album is supposed to feel like being trapped in a loop or a dead-end. Sort of like a period at the end of sentences. The biggest clue is the last track rewinds all the way back to the beginning track where he says " I was taking a walk the other day". Why would the album make a note of going back to the beginning? Seems like DAMN puts you right back to where you started.

The followup album will probably start in a similar way, and then take a turn that leads to something different. I don't know if the followup with be released as soon as Sunday, but I am almost certain there will be a followup. I have no idea what the "BLUE album" will be like, but I am looking forward to it.

Ok I'm super convinced now. You don't just make yourself a Jesus in all songs, die in song, release album on good friday and leave all these hints of 2nd album and then not deliver..

Kdots just out of this world

It's a lot different than other stuff he's done. It's clear he's trying to get mainstream, especially in the first half of the album. Can't hate him for it, but not my thing. Album had me relisten to 1999, still one of my favorite albums of all time.
