In order to move them, we're going to have to move kids with them. I believe it's worth it. Move Randle, Clarkson, Nance, maybe even Zubac with them.

In all likelihood, Clarkson will be the sacrificial lamb here, and Deng and Mozgov will both be stretched.

So, by all means, if you lose sleep about not having Clarkson around forever in purple and gold, continue obsessing about the Mozgov/Deng signings.

I don't think we're stretching either of those guys. It's too much money. We have a genius running our team now in Rob, he's going to figure it out someway that get's rid of those contracts.

But we have the option, right?

And if the option is, in fact, there, why the sheer desperation to get rid of them, even at the expense of Randle, Zubac, Nance, or the third pick, as you've all proposed?

You're a young guy, but you're not stupid, dude.

Listen to the Oldman when I say that options are a gift. In this case, yeah, it's expensive, you're right, but they don't have to salary dump Randle or surrender Zubac or the "the pick" to achieve the end . . . signing two guys.

They have the option to simply stretch both of them and still sign two guys (Collison and George).

Worst case would be to reach for a star to just get an acceptable product on the floor. (e.g. Griffen, Melo, Paul etc.)

Best case would be to look at a several year plan to mold a team rather than just settle for a "draft slot" squad. We need to balance the team out and I think that's a combination of trades and FA.

I called for Jim and Mitch to be fired before last offseason. I called out how horrible he Deng and Mozgov contracts were before the ink dried.

Best:
-George doesn't get named All-NBA.
-Bird offers George to LA in a low ball trade.
-LA keeps their pick.

Worst:
-LA loses pick.
-George gets named All-NBA and signs extension.

Best Case:
1 Get #1 pick and take Fultz
2 Find a way to unload one of the Mozgov or Deng contracts
3 Trade Clarkson to get some serviceable shooter off the bench
4 Jeanie stops doing interviews.

Worst Case
1 Lose Pick
2 Trade assets for a low caliber all star player and hear rumors all year about them leaving
3 Overpay for a FA with name recognition.
4 Jeanie keeps doing interviews.

Keep pick, trade it and the Houston pick to Sacramento for their 7th and 10th pick, draft Dennis Smith Jr and Zach Collins.
trade Randle, Clarkson, Deng and 2nd rounder next year to Indiana for George and Monta Ellis (to partially offset Deng).
Have Ingram start at off guard with George and Nance, 3 6'9" guys creating havoc on the defensive end. Russell gets run at
off guard as well when Smith comes in. Smith gives them a John Wall type speedster that we haven't really had. Only one bad
contract and we have plenty of cap space.

Worst: as other people have said, not shedding any of the contracts and adding to them with middling players with no star power.
