Deandre Kane is probably more realistic. Teo's teammate Kyle Hines is coming off his contract. He can play.

I think he'd be a better signing younger and athletic thanks for the post.

He wants to start and wants to get paid as well, though. If he were to sign with Utah under those circumstances that would likely mean George Hill becomes available and will walk. Either situation works for me.

I don't care about who we get for backcourt. We need bigs who can rebound and defend.

Porzingas skipped his exit interviews with the knicks due to frustration with management....

This is why culture matters. Nets players singing the teams praises after a 20 win season while knicks players are skipping meetings or trying to get out of town(carmello).

Then you have lins comments saying guys are asking about us and butler/pauls comments about us.

This is why we didnt go all out for wins. this is why we found a way to get 15 guys real playing time. this is why we higher an enormous staff.

I watch a lot of European teams.

Kane has the physical tools. He turns 28 in June

Woj has said on multiple occasions that agents like Brooklyn for their clients instead of the Knicks. That was in February.

The Knicks have done even more damage since then. I can't imagine anyone will seriously want to sign there now. Paul, Wade all liked Melo's shot at Phil Jackson on Instagram. Even KP and Hernangomez liked it.

Terrible situation over there. Remember when people were so scared of Phil with his 11 rings leading the Knicks? Good times.

In terms of player production and team marketing, two years of Carmelo Anthony is a great return on investment.

Trade: Booker, Kilpatrick, Hamilton, McDaniels, and Goodwin for Carmelo Anthony
Trade: Dinwiddie and Harris for Alexis Ajinca

Draft: Sindarius Thornwell
Draft: PF/C

Sign: Thomas Heurtel, Anthony Randolph, and Nicolo Melli (or Derrick Brown)

Lin/Heurtel/Whitehead
Levert/Thornwell
Anthony/Jefferson/Acy
Randolph/Melli/Nicholson
Lopez/Ajinca/PF-C

Didn't Anthony Randolph sign an extension with Real Madrid? I've liked how he's developed so far in Euroleague, but I'm still not sure if he's an NBA starter.

I'm kind of wary on Melo too. That kind of kills the Nets' ability to sign young players, which they seem to be focusing on lately.

Even without trading for Anthony, this is a competitive playoff team. Better defensively.

Yep. This is why I kept bitching about the short sightedness going on all season long. You had people wanting to bench young players in December and crying about wins. It's bigger than that.

When you've got a team full of fringe guys and kids bringing the heat to you for 4 qtrs and you've got to bring your A game just to get your team past them, a team without half the talent that your team has, you're going to wonder what's going on over there.

I like Carmelo Anthony, but he needs to go to a team that is going to contend, and we don't need a ball stopper in our offense.

Jackson dogged both KP and Anthony yesterday in a live press conference. I was shocked but not surprised.

I sat there and listened to this narcissist prattle on for 5 mins and I thanked goodness that we have Sean Marks and Trajan running this damn ship. Young, non egotistical guys that GET IT.

Jackson is kind of like Lionel Hollins, a basketball dinosaur, and no one born past a certain year is willing to deal with the horse **** coming from the mouths of these belittling old ass men. Knick fans can talk **** about us all they want, they are in for a long and painful trip while we will trend upwards with a team full of hard working players that actually care. At this point, I can safely say that the Nets will be better than the Knicks sooner than later.

KP's career is going to be ruined by the Knicks.

Randolph has until June to reach a deal with a NBA team.
His rim protection, 3 point shooting, length, and athleticism are all upgrades at the position for the team.
(Last three years 3 pt % - 39%, 34%, 38%)
He upgrades the position for 3 years on great contract.

Caldwell Pope and Otto Porter are no more worth developing than Jefferson, Thornwell, Whitehead, and Levert. The latter are far less expensive.

Pope and Porter won't produce better numbers than Carmelo. Melo's deal is 2 years.

When he was still great hell yeah to Melo now? no thanks. He's not the scorer he was yet he holds the ball killing any kind of offense being ran and refuses to come off the bench.

He's not a good fit for Brooklyn that's their problem.

Melo would hurt this team drastically... he is a terrible fit for our offense and our tempo. he makes everyone around him worse. he stifles the entusiasm of young kids. and his ego is a distraction.

there are 0 positives on or off the court

I hope Knicks can keep Melo, so Nets will have better changes to beat them again and again.

Teo may have made his interest clear causing the jazz to factor that in. Plus his age and injuries of course. Overpaying a little guard on the wrong side of 30 makes little sense for the jazz or nets. Patty Mills would make more sense.

Kane and Huertel would be my 2 cents.
