Diaw is too slow, Lyles is unexperienced and not even close to being capable of guarding such a player, Joe Johnson is too small, Favors is too slow in the current state. And what makes it even worse, non of them can punish Blake's defense. Jordan can control Gobert, MBAB can guard Hayward effectively, people underrate Clippers, i think they'll pass Jazz easier than people predict. But 2nd round is the floor because i just don't see a way to beat these Warriors. Too bad because Clippers are better than the Spurs and it would have been their best chance ever of reaching conference finals but well, it wouldn't really make the difference cause it would just be postponing the loss to the Warriors.
If you think Griffin is going to be the difference maker, then this may change your mind:
Griffin vs Jazz this season (4 games):
.482 FG
.333 3PT%
16.8ppg (2nd lowest average after Philadelphia)
8.8rpg
3.3apg
Other than rpg all his stats are below his season averages vs Utah. Favors played in just two games vs the Clippers and he played BAD offensively, but we shelved him for a month to get him ready for the playoffs, so we'll see.
We've been crippled with injuries during the regular season, but we finally have our rotation back, so it should atleast be a dog fight for LA, no way this series just goes 5 games. Also the Clippers are better than the Spurs? The Spurs have a full 10 wins on them.
