He's clearly not a PG, like Whitehead but both can get to the basket very well...I think Nets will probably have to chose between Whitehead or Goodwin since both are pretty much the same type of player...I don't think they can keep both on the roster next year.

Lin, Dinwiddie, Whitehead, Goodwin
Harris, Levert, KJM
Jefferson, Booker, Acy
Lopez, Hamilton, nicholson

That leaves 4 spots for rookies/free agents. would depend how we do in free agency and who stays from lopez/booker/hamilton

I think the choice is more of Goodwin vs Kilpatrick. Nets were a lot better defensively with him on the floor with the bench unit.

I think the choice is fairly easy. Goodwin isn't a shooter but he brings so much more on both ends.

The choice can not be between Goodwin or Kilpatrick since they are 2 different type of player + Kilpatrick is the only true legit scorer off the bench who can compete for the 6th man award next year...Kilpatrick can also shoot the 3 well enough while Goodwin can't and since shooters are valued, you can't cut off in favor of Goodwin.

Kilpatrick is like 27. He's good for this team right now but the Nets like Goodwin for the tools to develop on at 22. He's like a free first round caliber prospect. I don't see them moving on unless they land a good established backup PG. At worst, he develops in Long Island.

both are free agents and we will need to move on from 3-5 guys to make roster room for our draft picks and free agents.

Foye is a lock to go. kilpatrick/Goodwin would be on the block with booker/hamilton as potential trades

Return to Brooklyn Nets
