He may very well play to honor his sister. We'll see.

But yeah. I support any decision the dude makes.

Idk how a human being can recover from this and go out and compete at a high level physically and mentally within a day. I think there's no way he plays..dude must be a mess right now. I guess it also depends how close they were. Read a twitter quote saying he found out after practice and was in 'shock'. I have a hard time believing he plays and as you said, I fully support any decision he makes. Family first always.

Whatever he decides I'm good with it. I know this is important to him but family is family at the end of the day

Either way, AL, Bradley, Crowder, & Smart better grab their balls and play like f*** men on a mission to destroy the Bulls for IT. Unacceptable to lose this one.

Matt Cassel and Brett Favre both played (and won) day after their father passed. BUT that's not saying IT should feel pressured to play or anything. If he doesn't play the rest of the season I wouldn't give him **** at all. Horrible tragedy, not sure how someone moves passed that. Thankful to be spending the day tomorrow with all 5 of my siblings tomorrow.

If Thomas does play tomorrow, I hope they cut out all the playoff game hoopla. It wd be much better if they played it out as an ordinary game with a brief moment of silence just before tip-off.

There's too much emotion to start with--no fan will want or need more, and I'm sure it would be better for Thomas

I cannot imagine IT playing tomorrow. Some things are bigger than basketball. If I were him, basketball would be the last thing on my mind.

But that's just not the type of person IT is. He is a warrior, he's passionate, he wears his heart on his sleeve. Being the warrior that he is, he'll probably play, moreso he'd offer the game to his sister.

Man Idk..these guys are so much bigger than I am. If he plays tomorrow my level of respect for the guy reaches levels that no other sports player has reached before regardless of if he puts up 50, 30 or 0. For some reason the fact that his sister was only a young girl with so much life ahead of her and this was such a tragic, unexpected way to go is just too much for me.

The one thing I do know is Isaiah or no Isaiah, the rest of the guys are going to break their **** necks to get this guy a win tomorrow. Should be a hell of an emotional night at the Garden.

I don't think I could play tomorrow if my dog died, let alone my sister. Can't believe Favre and Cassel were able to do what they did.

According to ESPN, Thomas is expected to play tomorrow.

I have, of course, no insight, but IT is a lion. I would guess that he plays, and plays well. He has the will of 10 men. Tomorrow, he needs it all.

I am very saddened to hear this news. But honestly if IT wasn't gonna play he would be flying to Washington today as opposed to his family flying here. Nothing but respect and condolences to IT and the Thomas family

He's going to play. No better way to distract yourself from grief than high-stakes adrenaline-pumping competition. He's just gonna be very high-strung.

Hope IT does whatever is best for him and his. It's just a game.

Anyway, will probably be working through this one. Good luck, everyone. Let's show our friends to the north how it's done.

If IT plays I hope it gives him a few hours of relief from his pain. Sometimes being around teammates and having a distraction is good for the soul. Whatever Isaiah decides I'm sure fans and organization support him 100%.

When he gets up to accept the NBA championship trophy he should dedicate it to his late sister. That would be the best way to handle this tragedy.

You should be able to beat this Bulls team without IT imo. Regardless, we cannot afford to lose game 1. IT knows this. He's gonna play, albeit probably on raw adrenaline. I'd be OK taking game 2 off just to get some momentum rolling and give the guys a 1 game lead to fall back on. I think a lot of this is gonna fall on Smart and player 2 off the bench to step up and take over Offensively. I'm not worried about crowder and Bradley getting theirs, but 2 guys putting up 18 and 6 isn't gonna cut it. We need rondo-esque numbers from smart give me 15-7-7 and I'll be pleased. Also Kellys if you're reading this shoot the ball pls.

If IT decides to play, I hope he and his family receive the loudest, longest, and greatest standing O he received in his life. To show that we are with him and that this is bigger than basketball.
