The Seson Is Over No More Tank Talk Please

Post#1 » by SlimShady83 » Fri Apr 14, 2017 6:28 am

So the season has finally come to an end and hopefully now the Tank Talks have ended too.

Last 3-4 years have been pretty pain full, but we've been lucky enough to get some great young talent.

1) Clarkson with the 2nd round draft pic
2) double double machine Randle
3) I'm Ass in my veins Dlo I mean "Ice in my veins" Dlo < lol jokes
4) Ingram I'm the next big thing
5) Nance < keep me please
6) Zublocka
7) Nawbra
8) T-.Black

And hopefully this years pic < point guard needed...

This thread is a please stop with all the Tank talk - Even if next season we are sucking, we need to win games and start showing FA's and superstars etc that we are a winning team not just a tanking sucking team like 76ers < sorry but it's true.

Need to show those Top Fa's and those players we trade for that we mean business and plan to get back on track in 2-3 years

Celtics have done it and now it's our turn.

So please stop with all the Tank Talk and root for your team (LAKERS) to win plenty of games.

We have the youth it's all about Trades, FA's and D-leagues shouldn't be any need to tank any more.

LET''S WIN SOME GAMES AND HOPE TO MAKE THE PLAYOFFS.

Edit: Let's prey that we get very few injuries next couple seasons too < we've been unlucky with that last few seasons

Skullz...I don't think anyone was talking about tanking back in October / November. But by mid-Jan it started becoming a bit of a thing, and by late Febuary it was clear that it was the smarted approach to take the rest of the year.

As one of the huge 'pro-tank' guys......OF COURSE I wanna see us win tons of games next year. That's not the issue, and it never was with any of us. But if we're sitting at 20-50 next March, and we have a lotto - protected pick to consider.....it's team tank for me, man. You missed the mark on where those fans are at. I don't think a single one of them wanted a 'tanking season'.

Do you see the difference? I feel like the "tank" guys just get thrown in this basket, which is kind of insulting. I want the Lakers to win as much as anyone. And at 20-50 "winning" takes the form of getting the lotto pick. I'd take having been a .500 team about to get trashed by GS in the first round over being in the lottery ANY DAY. That means we're on the right track. That woulda been absolutely WONDERFUL. But it didn't happen. We were the 2nd worst team in the league with 10 games to play.

It comments like that, that are a completely inaccurate painting of what actually went down this year.

Can we start this up again, if we lose our pick?

If we lose our pick, next year is going to be like this year. We'll try our hardest to make the playoffs, if we start sucking, we tank. If we are fighting for it, we keep fighting, and hope for the best. Also next year's pick is unprotected, so we keep it whatever happens.

That's moot next year even if we are sucking...next years pick has no protections and will be conveyed no matter what if we keep our pick in 4 weeks from now.

Nope...there will be no use. Pick gone automatically. Best thing Lakers can do is play the pick down as far as possible. As long as it's not in top 10 I'm good with where it may fall after that.
