Giannis is a great rabbit for Simmons to chase in his career.

He's still been effective in the postseason even without his shot falling. His on/offs are insane, whereas DeRozan's are negative each year. It's also pretty ridiculous that the focus is on Lowry when his career playoff TS% (50.2%) is still better than DeRozan's (48.2%), only Lowry still brings a ton to the table even when his shooting is poor, and DeRozan gives you nothing if he isn't scoring efficiently.

I think Simmons is more shifty, being much more skilled. But Giannis is just a freak that he gets what he wants with his shear length.

They are different players, but I think that Giannis is ahead of Simmons for now, and that he continues to improve, so Simmons should be chasing him for a few years.

If the Bucks and the Sixers become powerhouse Rivals in the east in a few years I think that the Simmons-Giannis matchup will be awesome.

I think Giannis will have a better career than Ben. Giannis is just ridiculous and he is only 22 years old.

Lowry still plays worse than his regular season play or it at least appears that way. I don't have stats but henseems to play worse. He doesn't step up in the post season.

Yeah, Giannis is a phenom. We need to let Ben be himself and not keep measuring him up against LeBron and Giannis. The important thing is the tandem that Ben and Embiid can become, not how great they rise, individually.

Sure but just about everyone should play worse. The competition is much tougher.

I'd like to see the stats of all current players of how their post season stats compare to their regular season stats. I wouldn't bet Lowry has one of the largest gaps between regular season and post season.

I think Lowry's postseason struggles are more anecdotal than anything. He's still out there making plays and playing stellar defense, despite his shooting woes.

The Pistons are trying to scare other teams to joy offering the max for KCP so they can match a lower offer lol. Call their bluff and offer him the max. I'm even more convinced that he can be had for the max since they are acting like they will match.

I don't think it's a bluff. It's more advantageous for the Pistons to match a 4 year max for one of their two best players. They get him cheaper the than if they extended him for 5 years.

Who are the PGs out there that can lead their team into championship? I only see Steph. And he's been my favorite player outside the Sixers.

I think RW,Wall and CP3's style won't get you far. Ball needs to keep moving nowadays. Explains why KD wants out of OKC.

That's why I'm high on shooters and really low on PGs.

I think Lowry is best off as a third option. Make him 1st option and all his flaws will be exposed in play-offs. He won't be able to get his numbers with cruise mode level D of the regular season.

I don't think any PG can carry a team to a championship. It's very hard for a diminutive statured player to exert his will and takeover a playoff run. You're much better off having your best player be a big or wing.

They very well could match a max but I don't think it's a slam dunk. I just think they are trying to get teams to not offer a max so it could benefit them. I still think if a team offers him the max they won't match that easily. It will be a long thought process to determine if he's worth giving all that's money to when they don't even have any chance of winning a title. They will be capped out and be a perennial low lottery team or low playoff team. We will see.

Yeah, I definitely get the impression Detroit is bluffing on matching a max on KCP. They barely even utilize him, offensively.

It would be in our best interests to at least offer KCP a max. I remember two years ago when Khris Middleton was in a similar position, and I was really hoping we'd make a push for him (he ended up signing a VERY reasonable 5/70 contract). Boy, would he look good in a sixers uni right now. Let's not let another one slip away without at least trying!
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Edgecombe/Grimes/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards
Watford/Barlow/Walker
Embiid/Drummond/Bona/Broome

Bulls win game 1. The Celtics going out in the 1st round would be a nice consolation prize for this sh.... season.
