Good win guys, great second half. Need more from bench in next game.

Very nice win for the home team. They never panicked when they were down early. They just kept playing good D until the shots started to fall.

Awesome pass from Morris, prevents them from going for the foul game.

I don't see how the Hawks win this series w/o getting seriously hot from 3. They shot nearly 40 free throws, and if not for garbage time scoring, could have easily lost by double digits.

Kieff and Gortat were huge in that game. That what we need in Game 2 and throughout the playoffs.

Man, I was hyped, excellent win there with all the starters get rousing cheers. Particularly great to see the starting frontcourt rally there given how things had been going. Also great to see an overall scrappy-arsed game from the Wizards (give or take a few possessions, like that horrible wide open Calderon transition layup).
The bench was really exposed overall and the absence of Ian was tragic. Smith wasn't particularly good, but when he also went out the defensive interior was just nonexistent.

As long as Brooks doesn't run that crappy all-bench unit again, we can sweep these guys (or at worst win in 5) and rest up for round 2.

I think he learned to an extent in the second half to at least stagger the bench with a starter. I was surprised he left Jennings in for so long in the second half but he was abusing Calderon with his speed. He also was making the extra pass and passing up all open jumpers. That's smart. Probably should play Porter a little more at the 4 and less Bogs because he's really giving us nothing right now.

TBH it was a necessity. Beal had 2 fouls going into the 2nd.

I'm still worried about THJR going off, however, Beal didn't play THAT well imo so I expect him to kick it up a gear sooner rather than later.

True, I just didn't like the specific rotations he made. When Beal picked up the second, I thought the obvious move would have been to sub in Bojan at the 2. Instead of the Wall/Jennings lineup that never worked in reg season and killed our momentum going into the 2nd q
Basically Brooks needs to scrap the Wall/Jennings lineup for life. Don't even think about it again

Good to have the polish hammer and kieff back to normal. It has been so long since the starting 5 clicked. Wall and Kieff took a huge dump on the Pigeons in the 3rd.

I think everybody has agreed with that sentiment for a long time but Bojan at the 2 is a risk because of his D. But in the 2nd half, he took out Wall and put Jennings with Beal and Jennings thrived. He's terrible off the ball and he's barely adequate with the ball unless he's running. If he can just facilitate and not shoot, he's fine.
