General 2017 NBA Playoff thread

Post#1 » by dckingsfan » Sun Apr 16, 2017 2:18 pm

I was surprised by the Buck absolutely killing the Raps. It didn't feel like the game was really that close.

And they have not answer for the Greek Freak.

And the LAC are as soft as tissue. They lose even though the Jazz didn't have Gobert (bone bruise and hyperextension at :17).

Lowry is about as streaky a player there is at the top of the game today. He can be great or completely nonexistent. I doubt the Raptors lose this, but they didn't look great yesterday.

I can't believe Isaiah Thomas is playing in this game. Rivalry aside, I respect this guy a lot. 5'8 scoring 28 ppg!? Drafted in the very last spot!? What a soldier. RIP Chyna Thomas and my thoughts go out to her family.

Wow, the bulls with 20 offensive rebounds against Boston with 9 minutes left in the 4th quarter. Boston only has 20 defensive rebounds, so Chicago has an ORB% of .50% :o

Wouldn't mind seeing the Bulls in the 2nd round :)

I wonder if the Bulls can pull the series upset? 8 beating 1 would certainly be unusal. But would also lend credibility to the feeling like Boston was a weak #1 seed.

Prefect Easter Weekend. Wiz win and the two teams I despise the most crash and burn.

A weekend of upsets and near upsets. Kudos to the Bulls.

I think a new thread for the playoffs is fine, actually.

Yeah, that was impressive - I was really rooting for them because I find the RealGM Celtics board to be fried turds and the Bulls board to be enviably excellent.

Butler is the best player in the series and then they have a number of X-Factor guys as well as a rebounding talent which crimps the soft-faker Celtics.

If they get one vintage Wade game and a 'Miriotic gets HAWT' game they could take it. That's countered by loads of inexperience and poor overall talent, but it could still beat the soft-faker Celtics.

Horford definitely appears to have made the wrong choice. :wizard:

All that said, legendary game by Thomas under the circumstances.

Turns out Porter and Oubre were both good picks for their perspective teams.

I definitely wanted Portis then. I think Oubre has a higher upside now. Wish we could have picked both.

The Rockets look like they could give the Warriors a run (after one game :))

Nah... the last two Rockets-Warriors matchups were blowouts.

I need the Spurs to get to the WCFs, they'll push GSW to 6 or 7.
