I don't think anyone in Boston particularly had their sights on more than a nice run in the playoffs this year.

But this is a 1 v 8 and this team has taken care of teams .500 or less all year. So I doubt you can say nothing to be upset about.

I'm still not too concerned, but I didn't really rate the Bulls nor have I paid attention to them the last quarter of the season. I do find it amazing that they only started playing their 3 point shooting 4 on a horrible shooting team late in the season... that seems like an obvious move as their season opener team.

Everything is gravy don't you know? We can lose to the Bulls in 3 as the 1 seed and it's still all good.

Sorry but this is why we are looked at as the worst fan base in Boston sports.

Scale over here talking about how the Celts need to own the paint as if if he wouldn't be our best rebounder if he was still in his prime.

Like Ainge is too stupid to realize we need more rebounding??? Do you really believe this? Come on; jesus... if everyone on realgm knows, I suspect Ainge knows.

However, you have to make good moves for the team for the long term. That's how championship contenders are build -- not by patching a Frankenstein arm rebounder onto this freak of a team.

You say that then it boggles the mind as to why Ainge signed Horford and didn't tank until this year. It doesn't make sense at all if the organization was shooting for 3 straight first round exits.

Horford is an amazing player. Far from a Frankenstein arm scenario. On top of it, Horford was the first domino in the Horford->Durant power play... Context is important.

Sure but everyone knew what was going on. My point is if you were going to just play the draft pick game then why wouldn't you tank last year and get two top 10 picks? It's a lot better than repeated 1st round exits.

So you want to be Philly or Suns. Cool.

I actually liked Stevens putting his players in position to win... they just didn't win.

You would all be on your knees had Smart & Crowder hit more open threes...should Olynyk been benched for Jerebco? We have no other bigs...

I kept thinking man Cs could have run Bulls out of gym in first half when Bulls were cold. But kept making stupid turnovers and getting killed on glass. Should have had big lead. Finally started rebounding and taking care of ball and Bulls suddenly got hot. Blew it

I upvoted you, assuming you were posting sarcasm... now I think I was wrong, lol.

Losing to the Bulls would be a real bad look for our organization, and imho one that would require some reassessment. We'd truly be a regular-season-only team of weak players.

What's a fake excuse?

The fact that Ainge made no upgrades at the deadline?

The fact that the rebounding sucks.

The fact that we don't have a second go to scorer?

The fact that we don't have one consistent scoring off the bench?

The fact that no one besides Thomas can get to the line?

No of you guys take losses too hard. Ainge didn't give a **** about upgrading this team at the deadline. Not even a small move to address the weak bench. Ainge didn't care about this season. Why should you guys?

As disappointed as I am in the team as a whole, i couldn't be prouder of IT.

Clearly this team needs a lot of improvements, but I won't freak out over one game. I had a bad feeling going into this one because I think emotions were just running too high.

Trolling when our best player played a game like that after losing his sister and an emotionally packed fan base because of it.

If Danny isn't going to get talent to help this team advance past the first round? Then yes

Haven't had the same fire as last year. Been that way all season. Thought maybe the team that smothered the Dubs would make an appearance. It didn't. Need to be better, and a hell of a lot tougher. Show some pride.

C's need size and athleticism so badly it hurts.
