They dangled the hope of a D-league affiliate ONE time this year. That's another area I have little confidence in that hope either.
As for Giles, yeah, of those likely to be available, he'd be my second pick (I think - but draft is not my expertise). He seems like the perfect fit next to Jokic. Can you see Jokic in a high post with Giles flashing into the lane down low? Alley-Oop!

Now I like what ya got cookin' !!!

Love to see Giles and OG in powder blue next year, even though we'd be real young, been touting this combo for a while now !!

Both? Now who's drinking kool-aid? I'd absolutely love that! Might even drag my sorry butt all the way to Denver for a few games. It's been a few years since I could make that trip, but adding those two to this team? I'd have to get there!

According to Woj, sounds like Miles Bridges may be sticking around college next year. Never good when you're picking where we're picking to lose more lottery talent available, whether they are our targets or not.

MHZ stepping up with some AWESOME info, kudos !!! I think it's a mistake for Bridges to stay out of this draft, his stock is real high right now. Seems like a Ivan Rabb type mistake IMO.

Who would be in your top-5 on draft night? The guys you are hoping for, perhaps someone expected to go higher but might drop.

Jonathan Isaac - very likely to go higher, but if he drops, I want him
Harry Giles - could easily drop to #13
OG Anunoby - probably available at #13
Lauri Markkanen
Zach Collins

I don't have that much access to college hoops so i'm not quite familiar with the upcoming rookies. Here's to hoping we'd again be lucky enough to draft the player/s we want and at the same time addressing what the team needs. For 3 consecutive years now, our front office has accomplished that with the acquisitions of Harris, Nurkic, Mudiay, Murray and most of all, Jokic.

Good luck.

There are several good draft sites you may want to check, I would suggest Draftexpress as giving a lot of info, would help you get an idea anyways

Main focus is finding athletic, defensive forwards.
There probably isn't 5 realistic targets, but at least one will be there

Isaac (trade up)
OG
Hartstien
Cam Oliver

Having Jokic, Juancho and Markkanen (or Zach Collins) as our bigs pretty much guarantees us a bottom 5 defensive for the next several years.

Can't say about Markkanen, but Collins has been noted to be a shot blocker/rim-protector, so not sure whether my info or your supposition is incorrect

College rim protector is fine. We need someone to guard the draymond greens/Ryan andersons/lamarcus aldridges of the league.

Honestly can't see Zach Collins as anything more than a Cody Zeller in the league anyways.

Zach Collins is supposed to be a rather intelligent player. Only around 25 players averaged more than one blocked shot per game this year. Blocking shots is overrated for all but intelligent defense, players that know how to get in the way - those are always valuable.

Regarding rim protection: What about Ike Anigbogu?
If the Nuggets could aquire that TOR pick via Orlando (maybe for Faried) there´s a strong chance they could draft him and start solving their defensive issues with Anunoby (#13th) and Anigbogu (#25).

I like Ike (pun intended) a lot as a backup 5 but if we trade back into the end of the first round I'd want it to be for Cam Oliver. I'd rather take a swing on a guy who could become a starting 4 than take a guy whose ceiling with us would be a 15 mpg backup.

OG at 13
Cam Oliver at say 25
Sign Willie Reed to be Jokic's backup.

Like Oliver but as I've stated, see him as a 2nd rounder. If you want swing for the fences, I'd still go after Giles. Know he's still recovering, but was once considered the #1 pick, good potential.

Draft boards are really mixed on De'Aron Fox and Jayson Tatum going anywhere from 5-10. Which got me thinking if the Nuggets could package #13 one of their 2nds and Mudiay to move up in the 7 or 8 range where there is a good chance one will be available.

IMO those are two guys the Nuggets could really benefit from immediately.

If they stay pat I really like taking a risk on Harry Giles or drafting Zach Collins. Also, been watching some scouting videos of Frank Ntikilina. His length could make him another Kris Dunn type player.

Resent history of a #13 pick:
2016 Georgios Papagiannis
2015 Devin Booker
2014 Zach LaVine
2013 Kelly Olynyk
2012 Kendall Marshall
2011 Markieff Morris
2010 Ed Davis

I'd really like to see a smart, defensive rim protector come from the draft, but I'm doubtful. This team is badly in need of some tough D, and someone to play alongside Jokic would be my first priority. If someone like that were available in trade, I'd give them the #13 and another good asset.

The more I think about it the more I hope the Nuggets trade Barton and draft 2 of Giles, Hartenstien, and OG. All 3 are high upside guys who will likely take a year or two, but if they work out would be very very good fits with what we have going on already.
