Sure but everyone knew what was going on. My point is if you were going to just play the draft pick game then why wouldn't you tank last year and get two top 10 picks? It's a lot better than repeated 1st round exits.

Because we're also playing the max contract space game this year and last. And you need to be a good team to have a chance to sign someone close to worth the max in today's NBA.

PJ Tucker would have been a great cheap pick up

I guess, but when you have two top 5 picks coming off the bench and another one that will be a swing man. It would have been a greatly short sighted pickup.

This team isn't better than a second round team anyways, and PJ Tucker would not have changed that. It's just about looking good enough to appeal to free agents.

If we left the team short handed because if th summer, that might be a good long term move but ainge and wyc will have to live with a 1-seed missing a piece. Dangerous game.

As far as this year's team, we either win today or we will have about a 5 percent chance to pull off a series victory. I would say right now, at 1-0, edge is still with Celtics. But, today is a must-win without it being a must-win.

We're gonna win by 20 to 30 points. I don't think the Bulls are any good and we will be itching for redemption.

To me, game 1 turned at the end of the 1st quarter. The KO/Zeller frontcourt is unplayable (and unwatchable), can't rebound or defend. Nearly every Bulls reserve was a +10 or better while our bench guys just got pummeled (even Smart, who usually kills +/-).

He only played 3 minutes in the 2nd half but I thought our ball and player movement improved exponentially as soon as Jerebko got inserted. I look for Brad to go to Jerebs early and often. He speeds up the game. We'll never rebound well but if we speed up the game we can blow this team outta the gym. Paradoxical as it may sound, going small is our best way to counteract our lack of rebounding and interior defense.
The leaks are real...the news is fake.

I'm just here for the memes.

Oh I disagree. Tucker and picking up someone like Terrance Jones/Sully would be enough to get this team in the ECF. You're essentially using them and replacing Zeller and JJ. That's a massive upgrade. Smart for whatever reason never developed the way people thought he would. Jaylen has a chance but Brad will take him out of the game the second he makes a mistake.
