But at this point, probably the teams he would waive the NTC for pretty much match up with the ones that would give some value for him.

im kinda afraid its more likely the opposite. this whole thing may be nothing more then a setup for him to stay. "i could never leave my wife and kids" or "i need to be in NY to fix my marriage" . Its always been about whats best for melo, i dont see this situation changing anything for the positive.
thats like a Michael Scott setup...

Say he does want to try and reconcile with Lala - he's not allowed to put his family before the Knicks? I guess it's kind of a stupid question, because of course many fans will be pissed off at him for putting family before basketball, but...just...wow.

Google 'cuckquean'. It's almost as common as 'cuckold', the male version of it. And it's extremely common among celebs, even more-so among athletes.

It has to be really hard for a woman to be married to a famous athlete if she's not into that ... But if she is, she's living a dream.

So when Woj drops an article about KP not liking what's going on he's a Knicks hater, has no idea what's in his head, etc.

When tabloids post rumors about Melo he's scum, selfish and blah blah blah.

sure he can do whatever he wants, and usually does. but hes doing it at a cost of other players lives, other coaches lives, and all the fans lives. everyone has to pay for Melos indescretions ? that is a big wow.

*If he said what was reported by page six, sure. And I'm not about to stick up for anyone who's cheated because that's absolutely horrible and something I'd never do, but if he had a change of heart and realized what he'd be losing if they were to get divorced and wants to try to fix it in NY, people will get pissed at him anyway. He's in a lose lose situation with every action of his.

Let's all just agree on one thing: this is one hell of a sticky situation.

Melo is gonna want what's best for him. Of course. And Knicks fans are gonna want what's best for the Knicks. Of course.

Problem is, we all have different opinions on what's actually best for the Knicks.

Good news is, Phil wants what's best for the Knicks, because what's best for the Knicks is best for Phil. Bad news is, a lot of people disagree with Phil on what's best for the Knicks

That's why I'm comfortable rooting for Phil. It's a much happier place to be, cuz dude is staying for a while.

God's speed, Phil.

I'm not about to turn this into a Phil thread so I will not respond to anything relating to him after this, but Phil is concerned with Phil, not the Knicks. Two years ain't a while. Longer than Melo might be here, sure, but not KP. So, **** off Phil is my view...but you already know that.

I've said my piece.

dont put words into my mouth please, never said anything of the sort. I said other people shouldnt have to pay for melos cheating, or for melos wifes career. he was hired to play basketball, not be a reality show celebrity. you act as though melos the only pro sport player to have a wife and family.
