Rooting for the Bulls

Post#1 » by theBigLip » Wed Apr 19, 2017 12:02 am

I'm totally rooting for the Bulls, or probably more accurately, rooting against the Celtics. Hated since the Bad Boys. Still hate them (although Stephens is a reasonable coach). But Ainge was gifted Garnett (from McHale) and all those picks from the Nets (who were (Please Use More Appropriate Word), and I apologize to all the mentally handicapped that take insult to being compared to the Nets).

The Bulls are big and Butler is for real. And Wade may have just a little more gas in the tank. It will be hard to win two in the Garden, but I'd just be laughing my a$$ off if the Celtics are the first #1 seed to lose in the first round. And then to make it worse (for them) I hope we get a top 3 pick and they get bumped all the way to #4 this year in the draft. :D

Only wishing the Bulls beat the Celtics and destroy them in one part of the game in particular.....

Rebounding.

Then they may want to add Drummond.

Yet another thought that will not happen.

The Bulls can easily beat the Celtics and the Bucks can easily beat Toronto because both the Celtics and the Raptors are suspect elite teams.

SVG should be ashamed of himself because they could have got to the 2nd or third round if he wasn't in love with an injured Reggie Jackson.
You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.
Weaver & Casey, govern yourselves accordingly!

While I want Celtics to get swept in the first, Dallas lost to Golden State in the first round when they were the 1st seed

Seattle also lost in the first round as a #1 seed - to Denver.

Toronto and Boston are not elite teams! Both depend heavily on their PG creating offense and in the playoffs that's a slow painful death

The game changes & slows down in the playoffs & defenses are more dialed in.

You need multiple creators and shooters to succeed in the playoffs! Said it all season and it will be demonstrated in these playoffs

I don't have any long term grudge against the Celtics, but since Horford and Thomas both spurned the Pistons I wish them no success. I really hate the Bulls, even though the "Pistons are bad for basketball" guys are long gone. Ideally, the Bulls beat the Celts and then are destroyed in the next round. It's mean spirited I know, but it's how I feel about it.

This is my hope as well. I would take the 2018 brooklyn pick all day every day for Drummond.

Celtics are the new Clippers. A totally deception when the big times come.

Bradley & Thomas combined for something like 11 of 30 FGs

Not gonna get it done when your neither of your best guards are scoring.

Bradley at least plays D! What's the excuse for Thomas? Kyle Lowry's D too much for him?

¿Lowry? Anyway, Thomas has lost his sister, it's not fair to judge his performances this Playoffs.

Yeah Thomas is playing on pure heart right now. Emotionally drained.

Some great stats from tonight's game:

Al Horford = 11 rebounds
Remaining 4 starters on the Celtics = 12 rebounds COMBINED

Rajon Rondo = 9 rebounds

Basically a summary of the series in a nutshell, Celtics are just too small for the Bulls...terrible match up

Doubt the Wizards will have these types of issues but who knows

Personally Id rather see the Wizards face LeBron bc the match ups will at least be interesting

(Lebron vs Wall), (Kyrie vs Beal), Porter vs who cares, Gortat/Kief vs Love/Thompson

You must be young. The Warriors beat the Mavs in the first round of a seven game series, playing spoiler to Dirk's MVP season.

I'm also pulling for the Bulls because Ainge has refused to cash in the winning lottery ticket that is the Brooklyn 1st rounder and thus short changed all his players this season. They could have had an elite wing(Butler or George) on this team or a big load center(Dre or Cousins), but instead Ainge wants to add a 19 yr old point guard to his roster.

I don't think Ainge wants to add a stud rookie...I think he wanted someone to bow down and kiss his feet for that pick & teams are much smarter than they used to be.

The fact is the Celtics aren't really challengers for Lebron AND can't really play all the young guys they've already got!

So instead of the Bulls taking Amir & the 2017 pick for Butler they likely asked for a real 2nd asset and Ainge said no

Same with every other team!

Ainge worked himself into a corner and I'm hoping the Celtics suffer for it.

Bradley, Thomas, Smart, Rozier & the 2017 pick can ALL play, right?
