I'm not gonna say "Trade Russell"....but if we do get the pick, and it looks like we can do something like move Deng by giving the other team Russell (I'd prob like to get a first-round pick back as well...or something) then I'm willing to hear the plan. Russell is still on his cheap-contract....and I think there's a higher ceiling than Clarkson....so your gonna get better value. VALUE being the operative word there. Definitely want something for the guy.

I felt Russell became fairly moveable if we got Fultz/Ball....but I actually think he'd be a decent SG. I think it's worth trying out. Having 2 guys who can comfortably run the offense certainly wouldn't hurt.

Kinda want to see us get the pick first. It's all academic if we don't get it/

Lonzo would be the primary ball handler and Russell would focus more on offense

Overall a very solid fit i'd say.

I still would rather have Fultz and Russell though

well, we probably shouldn't be resting on our laurels waiting for the pick to fall into our lap, while there's a whole month to get trading without having that pick confirmed.

assuming on-the-table current positive value assets:
- Randle
- Clarkson
- 2017 HOU 1st
- 2018 DEN 2nd
- 2018 CHI 2nd
- 2020 LAL 1st (if we keep the top 3 pick) OR 2017 and 2018 LAL 2nds (if we lose the top 3 pick)
- Tyler Ennis S&T
- Capspace to absorb 1st year albatross contracts for more assets
- Nance and Zubac if the right offer came around

I'd be expecting Pelinka and Magic to be working to phones hard to try to dump Deng and/or Mozgov for combinations of the above assets

Wait....are we able to make trades right now? I though we had to wait till like 2-3 weeks after the draft.

I prefer Clarkson over Russell. Clarkson plays hard and hustles and oh yes plays defense all the time. Russell ..... he got lit up each time by guards he was supposed to slow down.

teams eliminated from playoff basketball can agree and make trades

clarkson i think has peaked as an inefficient ballhog that doesn't play defense, best trade him while there's some positive value to be had

russell can carry a team offensively, just needs to start showing it more consistently after his sophomore year

DLo has more value so if I'm looking for a trade it will be probably him. But then again, you can move DLo to SG and Clarkson comes off the bench so no need to make a trade at all.
