Agreed. I know we need to let the series finish in the event of a miraculous turn around, but I can't remember a finals team ever sucking this much I'm the first round of the playoffs.
Bring on draft night and a major deal.

Fire casey and hire a coach that actually cares about offence
Trade everyone except young guys for picks and let go of all free agents

DSJ/Wright/FVV
Powell
???/Bruno
Siakam/Giles
Poeltl

Add a few cheap 3+D pieces and tank

Boston- if they fall outta #1 ppl might think this is crazy but maybe we can get that BK pick for Derozan. They were willing to give it up for Butler(who is better) but Derozan did beast every game against the Celtics this year.

Suns- Won’t want derozan. My 2nd fav team and the only player that is really untouchable(booker) plays SG. They’re keeping the pick

Lakers- Magic did say he wanted to do something Big. I expect them to keep it but maybe they would want DeKobe idk

Sixers- I feel like if they get the lakers pick too? It might be a possibility. They have so many young players, idk if they’d want to bring in 3 more(Simmons didn’t play last year) 3 rookies? Maybe they draft one young player and are willing to trade the 2nd top 10 pick for an all-star(derozan)

Magic-I think they keep the pick and def won’t want another SG.

Twolves- I actually think this team is most likely to trade their pick, but probably for a big like (lopez) Def not for another SG like derozan

Knicks- They seem to be going in the rebuild mode with Melo trade talks. Maybe we can convince them to stick with Melo. This is my dream trade situation. Take bad contracts from the Knicks and make them give us this years 1st and 1 more, possibility 2 future 1st round picks. Sit back and watch DD and Melo fight over the ball and collect those top 10 future 1st round picks.

Kings- They need a star to replace Cousins but the main piece they got back plays SG. They do crazy things on draft night so you never know.

Mavs- Probably our best chance. They hate drafting and a DD, Barnes and Noel core could attract a big free agent since they have Max dollars to spend

Would you do Derozan for Mattews, Mavs 2017 top 10 pick and a future 1st round pick?

They legit have nothing else to offer unless you like powell, but probably the best chance we have at getting a top 10 pick.

I'd do it, though I don't think they would. I think they're dedicated to a full rebuild through the draft.

Not so sure about that. Cuban is extremely thankful for all Dirk has done for that franchise, and he'd try his best to give him one last shot at a ring. DD/Barnes/Dirk/Noel is quite good.

Ettore Messina

Messina is interesting, hes big on running things through the post. The problem is right now I don't think Jv has the IQ or Passing ability to facilitate that. But Ibaka might. Interesting prospect for sure. Here's something from an article on him.
He also states that his teams needed a minimum of 20 FGAs per game from the post. He talks about how the team should constantly look for opportunities to get the ball to the Center, where the defense is most forced to react. Messina is known for his development of post players and it seems clear from that article that he values low post players quite a bit. That isn’t to say that he only focuses on scoring from the post. His diagrams are full of all types of plays and the emphasis on getting the ball into the post seems more like "step 1" rather than the end goal

I'm sure he's picked up a ton from Pop. I'm thinking Kawhi Leonard plays would work well with Derozan.

Hey, if he'd bite I'm down. That's nowhere near a championship caliber team though. Not even close.

Meh, not our worry if they believe in it.

Definitely. There's usually someone that falls because he's not as skilled but he has the ceiling of a superstar. You grab that man immediately.

There aren't many players I have seen with the physical tools Giles has that can defend like him

Brooklyn would definitely gamble, with that high ceiling making the swap of picks possibly neutral.

Kinda a good game for blow up hopes bc we need DD to have some Big games. Don't want him to be known as a season player. He played great today on the big stage. Bucks had 20 turnovers and Greek Freak played horrible.

I'm thinking DD will have more trade value than PG and maybe even JButler.

On George bc of contract. PG has one year left and many believe he wants to go to LA.

JButler it's close, I like JButler better but he only has 2 years left. Derozan has proven himself more for a longer time and has 4 years left just starting his prime. That's a lot of control! Has played on a winning team for multiple years now. I think he might have close to JButler value when all things are considered.

BK falls to #3, Josh Jackson and Fultz get picked in the top 2. Boston doesn't want a point guard with Thomas so we give them DD for bradley and Bk #3 overall?

That's one positive way of looking at it. The less like a playoff bust he plays, the higher his value. I would have preferred a loss and series loss(Raps may pull ahead after getting some confidence back), but if not our asset could be worth a bit more. I guess me and you are the only two left who voted in favor of a new core after this win. I just can't watch this friggin group for another year.
