JJ adds much needed spacing but he is up there in years so may not want a long commitment.

Question of Redick's Return
I agree. I like J.J. Redick but he's both being wasted and not living up to expectations. With Griffin and others not stepping up offensively, it's easy for the opposing team to continue to lock down Redick in throwing our whole offense off. The Spurs keyed in on him and other teams have followed suit including the Jazz right now. At the same time, J.J. has also failed to show up in the postseason when he did have opportunity and space. The collapse against Houston is one such incident.
I've mentioned Jamal Crawford's reputation for disappearing in the playoffs before, but Redick has also been guilty of such disappointing MIA performances.

eh, crawford is garbage in the playoffs because he doesn't get to play against garbage rs lotto teams. entire teams gameplan for jj redick so it makes a lot more sense when he has less than average games.
it's up to cp3/blake/jordan to take advantage of those mismatches and skewed gameplans and unfortunately that's not happening the way it needs to be.

Gladly Take Him Over Doc Right Now
If the media wants to promote the narrative that Brad Stevens is one of the league's worst coaches and it somehow convinces Danny Ainge to let him go, by all means, I would gladly take him over Doc right this very minute. What Stevens has done for a Celtics team that has more valuable trade assets than it does personnel has been remarkable during his short time there. Further,
I suspect having Isaiah Thomas deal with the aftermath of his family tragedy is not exactly helping the cause either. Whatever the case, give me Stevens and Travis Schlenk and my outlook for this team's future changes drastically in a much more positive light.
Yes, I know ESPN is just citing statistics and saying Brad has one of the worst playoff records in NBA history despite the small sample size and circumstances, but if the talking heads want to actually blow it out of proportion, I would jump all over it if I were Ballmer.

Not sure if you guys have seen it, but Ballmer just unveiled a really big project in his USAfacts website, which is a pretty cool nonpartisan attempt at looking at revenue and spending across federal, state and local governments.
It's pretty awesome that he's done that, so much for those following the riding-Gates'-coattails narratives. I'm glad he's keeping himself busy with such interesting projects and proving himself as a smart dude with a vision. After his Surface baby project proving successful in the long run too. It kind of makes me feel good for his long term perspective as an owner of the team.

Heard some guy on the Bill Simmons podcast (or maybe it was the Zach Lowe one) predict that the Clippers would at least take the Warriors to 7 games because of continuity.
He also said they can't hide Reddick at the moment on defense but Paul is playing at a high level to lift the team.

Talking Heads Pushing BG-for-PG Trade Scenario
Yes, I know it's Cowherd and Broussard, but keep in mind the Clippers were Paul George's favorite team growing up before Neil Olshey passed on him in favor of Al-Farouq Aminu during the 2010 NBA Draft. The other thing to note is that George dated and cheated on Doc's daughter. DJ is also supposedly close to Doc's daughter as noted during the Twittergate "hostage situation" in Houston, which is another thing possibly in play.
I actually think there's a decent case to be made for the Clippers trading Blake Griffin for Paul George, especially if Doc is removed from the organization. DJ may or may not protest George joining the team, but he's so buddy-buddy with NBA players, I find it hard to see that he'd make a big stink about George joining the team.
I'll go on record in saying that I'm not a fan of NBA players who cheat on women and such like Swaggy P wannabe Nick Young, but it seems like the league is full of players practicing infidelity. In fact, Carmelo Anthony broke up with his wife La La because he got a co-ed pregnant.

Would be interesting but would BG sign an extension to be traded to the Pacers?
Or sign an extension with the Pacers after being traded to them?
Supposedly he really like the LA lifestyle.

only way it'd really work is if they re-sign blake to a max without him knowing they're going to trade him. unless he loves indiana for whatever strange reason. a S/T wouldn't make a lot of sense, because that means he has a choice, and if he were going to sign with a midwest team it'd be okc, not indiana.

I think George is a better fit with CP3 and DJ, not to mention slotted with Melo. I think the premise is sound, but possibility is slim. \
Plus, why would I want to go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros.

yeah paul george is a significantly better fit and i think the team's defense would improve dramatically if we could retain both him and luc. being able to trade blake for him would be a coup but if someone's gonna suggest it as a slim possibility, i'd go further to say it's far less than that.

That's cool, but it would be nice if he kept himself busy looking for the next great GM for the Clippers too.

Dumbo Doc Trumped Fans Into Believing He Was Better
I can't help but think how Doc had the temerity to complain about Danny Ainge not giving him a roster capable of winning in Boston when he was handed Paul, Griffin, Jordan, and trade assets like Eric Bledsoe and first-round picks only to come up with nothing but incomplete rosters during his entire Clippers tenure. Dude doesn't develop talent nor can he identify them by dropping helpful players like Joe Ingles only to sign veteran corpses like Paul Pierce to take up roster and cap space.
I've said from the beginning that he was overrated as a coach, but hoped that he would be enough to get us over the hump since he was still one of the best coaches we ever had. Given the low bar to exceed, that's really not much of an accomplishment but dude has been a horrible GM and, quite frankly, beyond disappointing as a coach with his outdated game plans and inability to adjust.
He is the only coach to blow a 3-1 series lead twice in the playoffs and hasn't won anything without a stacked roster full of Hall-of-Famers and star players not yet past their prime. He was given the money, executive power, roster, and resources to get us to a championship, but we haven't made it past the second round and are on the verge of losing in the first round again. Not only that we'd be setting a record for being eliminated in a playoff series 5 consecutive times after leading in the series. Choke and superficial talk are exactly what this team has emulated from its current leader.
