Mr. E's Halftime Thoughts:
Honestly, it's kind of amazing that the Rockets are only down by seven. Houston started off really scattered; but some shots started falling and they seem to have calmly worked their way back into this. They are completely in this game; but they can't do that cold spell garbage that we see too often.
Harden is leading all scorers, but it came about in a very quiet manner. The fans in OKC seem to appreciate what they are seeing as they've showered Harden with a few MVP chants tonight. Really classy on their part!
Sweet Lou arrived at the game just in time. The Rockets need him, Splash, Spaceman, A3za & the exhaulted and venerable Captain Patrick Beverley, the Wolverine of 94 feet to start punishing OKC for any open look.
The Rockets are down; but to me they looked more composed there at the end of the second quarter. As the game gets closer Westbrook could very well once again start waving off the teammates and try to take care of things on his own. Harden just needs to keep being Harden.
I hope that Roy Rogers & D'Antoni get the big guys adjusted to become a factor in the second half.
GO ROCKETS!!!
