Not mad from a Rockets perspective. Had chances in a game OKC had control of throughout.

I think Harden was tired and didn't want to play overtime. I don't mind the 3.

On the road, Pats out, Harden has 5 fouls. Going for the win is a good call.

Seriously? No timeout? Disappointing. Was good to see Westbrook using his teammates that last quarter.

Up 2-0, why not take the risk
Both those threes were just inches short

Helluva game!!!!!

Russell did a great job of continuing to move the ball around most of the night (he couldn't resist one Westbrook type three late though  )
Fully expected my Rockets to pull it out but it wasn't meant to be.

At least maybe we can kill that "scrub teammates" nonsense now.

TBH I hate these Harden iso. His handles are just not as good as someone like McGrady. Ugh. Rockets could have won this game tonight.

Harden would have fouled out in OT if it had gone there. That's smart thinking from James right there. Go for the win.

Why did harden go for the win both times? Dude is 17/17 from the line drive the ball.

Westbrook really choked at the line

I think this game dispel's the myth that Harden has a much better supporting cast than Westbrook.

I mean we just got the direct comparison.

I get not wanting to go to overtime. But both of those shots were forced, especially that last one. That first 3 was way too deep, but sure I gave him a pass on that one. But the last one was extremely contested. They were both bad shots. Again I get not wanting to go to overtime, but that doesnt mean you have to take bad shots.

One game "must win" home game in the playoffs doesn't dispel the fact that Westbrook's supporting cast isn't very good. The two players OKC is paying nearly $200M to be their 2nd and third best players combined for 16 points. Gibson showed up after Donovan finally gave him more than 20 minutes. And Robes has been great in this series but it still doesn't erase how poor of an offensive playe he was over the course of an 82-game regular season.

Really, though, if I'm a Rockets fan I don't feel too bad. OKC controlled that game almost the entire way and the Rockets still had a shot at the buzzer to win the game.
Said in a thread about which point guards would make OKC better if they replaced Westbrook:

Sometimes the world gets you down and everything seems gray, but then the Rockets lose a playoff game and things don't seems so bad

Reminds of those Kobe fans who treated Gasol like trash. OKC has a tough frontcourt that plays defense, grabs rebounds, and sets good screens. It's really embarrassing constantly having to downplay the rest of the team at the expense of that superstar on the team.

On the second one, how much better of a look was he going to get in 2 seconds and the defense even more set? Probably the same shot
