Hello Brooklyn wrote:Funny how everyone (I'm sure you included ) was railing about how terrible Westbrook's cast was last game based on "one game."
It's a myth that has never been supported by the facts.
And now that we have a direct comparison, I see evidence to the contrary.
I was going to go back and add more to my post that quoted this post in the other thread but it got locked before I could.
For such a short post there's just so many things wrong.
One, the thing which you claim is a "myth" and "has never been supported by facts" has, in fact, been supported by facts based on an entire 82-game sample size. Virtually every on/off and +/- stat shows that Harden's/Houston's supporting cast was considerably better than OKCs. I mean the Rockets managed to still carry a positive net rating throughout the entire season with Harden on the bench and they were actually better defensively with Harden on the bench. Neither of those things are even kinda sorta a little bit true for Westbrook.
And how has this direct comparison led to you "seeing the contrary"? One of the biggest takeaways from game two was what happened to the Thunder at the end of the third quarter when Westbrook went to the bench.
Look, I understand if people think the whole "Westbrook's supporting sucks" has gotten way overblown or is greatly exaggerated. However, the fact still stands that his help is not good. There's plenty of evidence that supports that.
