I think it's time to trade KP. This is dumb as ****. He needs to be getting better instead of worrying about playing for Latvia. He could easily get hurt. This is stupid and the clowns of the NY Knicks franchise continue. He needs to be working with Dirk and whoever else to get better. He's going to come next season and not have any improvements.

Phil should seriously think about trading him.

Kris: To be honest, about the season.. and what happened at the end of it. I don't want to comment it right now..

Myself, I didn't personally talk to anyone, I think this is the better question for Janis.

Janis: I think its mostly his decision now. Yea, in first couple of years in the league, you aren't in the position to dictate what you want/gonna do.. But for Kristaps.. I think he is now in position - where he can.

Were there a lot of moments when you were frustrated that you didn't get the ball?

Kristaps tries to answer, but Janis interrupts him.

Janis: Nah, Kristaps doesn't do that. We as brothers were pretty emotional, though.

Kristaps: Yeah, there was a time when we played on the road, and my family was together watching the game in my apartment, and someone got pretty hot, and broke the TV. :D *looking at Janis*

Question to Janis. Kristaps already talked a bit about his season in NY. What is your view on it?

Janis: I think it was great. His stats were up. If we consider the team he played on, I think he did great.

Other player were ready for him this year, did some homework. Remember those put-back dunks he had his rookie year, now everyone was just facing him, looking into the eyes, and didn't even allow him to get to the basket. There was a lot more focus on him.

But again, we went through a bunch of video already, and saw the things he needs to work on. And he knows those himself.

He is able to work alone, he knows the moves he needs to work on, so after that its about practice and repeating them again and again after you get better.

Overall it was a good year. OF course, mentally it was a bit tougher, when you lose so much, everyone started to look a bit lethargic. But he played alright even in the last games, did what he was supposed to do, of course there were bad game too, but that happens.

Did NY say anything specific about what you should improve in your game?

Kris: I'am in touch with one coach from NY. ANd our minds are pretty much in the same place, in regard of what should I do in the summer.

Phil Just opted in another 2 years with the team. Do you think you will be in NY while you are on your rookie deal?

Kris: To be honest I don't know much about the deal. How many years I have left? Its a better question to Janis I think.

Janis: This isn't a very appropriate question. Kris still has a deal with NY, he was drafter there, and he wants to spend his career there. End of story.

Is Janis his Agent/Brother? I could see him being a big problem. Just look at these answers from him.

Not me, I see them as being huge assets. Having KP and his whole family wanting to win and hold the Knicks accountable is great. The problem is that Phil isn't being held accountable by the org.

Look at Melo..He just basically ignores everything and sits in his corner..
very very true, I guess it's a good thing, but it could be a problem if the Knicks don't improve and we all probably don't trust the Knicks by putting a good team out there. Good thing KP has no choice for a while.

Pauses...*rubs temple*

This just confirms my worst fears that KP is a "mimbo"... :banghead:

IF this kid really wants to win in New York, then he would get his lilly white a$$ in the weight room and work all off-season on his inside game, offensively AND defensively.

Yes, Greenie you read that right. I am the sexiest straw that stirred the drink called Realgm that you will ever read.

I'm begging....BEGGING the basketball gods grant this kid wisdom and a FAST track to maturity because IF/when Melo's gone (and most likely will be dealt) the league is going to give him a RUDE awakening.

When the F#CK is this franchise going to catch a break?!?! WHEN!?!!? :nonono:

He said 1) now that he's in his 3rd year he can be more vocal, 2) that KP knows what he has to work on to get better, 3) this year was tough because of the losing but he still played well in spite of that, and 4) he wants to spend his career in NY, period.

What did he say that was so bad? Everything he said was good in my opinion.

I got a lavar ball vibe from him.

Reading what Kristaps' brothers said, one or both of them is definitely ian begley's source when it came to knowing Kristaps skipped the exit meeting, and the rumor being floated around that no one should be surprised if Kristaps leaves the franchise in free agency.

We also face the Kings twice in the near future. I think it's time Yabu pays back some of that free money he's been given his entire career and bounces Fox for a nice 2 week ankle sprain.

Sounds like a bit of a critique of Melo and Rose. Possibly CLee too. Those are the only guys on the team with around 10 years in the league.

Just for sh*ts and grins, I'm going to assume he meant Melo and Rose only, because that'll get things going nicely here.

It'll be a real bitch if they bring Rose back.

Seems like KP (and everyone else) liked Melo/Rose personally. Rose, in particular, must have been tough for him to play with. It's just not what you need from your PG. You can play Melo next to a CP3 and he'll fall in line but there's not much you can do to change a leopard's spots when he's the one "organizing" the offense.

Last month Ian Begley came out of nowhere with an article saying don't be surprised if Kristaps isn't around for long. The timing of it was definitely strange, since Kristaps doesn't become a free agent until 2019, if he decides to decline his qualifying offer.

When James Dolan is no longer the owner.. If Kristaps Porzingis had any common sense, he would leave James Dolan's team the first chance he gets. Dolan is the biggest idiot owner the NBA and maybe even all major sports have ever seen. There have been many dumb owners, but Dolan has been sabotaging the Knicks for nearly 20 years now..

that he's not gonna stay forever if they don't get their act together

I'll take him serious when he declines his qualifying offer in the summer of 2019. Until then he's all bark and no bite. Because if he hits free agency as a restricted free agent, he's going to be in a Knicks jersey for 5 more years.

I'd rather see the Knicks take steps towards building a winning foundation. If they do that and are turning the corner by 18-19 he'll forget all about this little brush up. If not, we have a problem.

I wonder is he trying to get traded. I would think he knows how restricted free agency works. If he's the player that we think he will be, then it's just empty 'threats'. He ain't going nowhere. He can't if he wanted to.

Did you not read his brother's final quote? And what rumor are you talking about?

Last month Ian Begley came out of nowhere with an article saying don't be surprised if Kristaps isn't around for long. The timing of it was definitely strange, since Kristaps doesn't become a free agent until 2019, if he decides to decline his qualifying offer.

I must have missed the report that said don't be surprised if he's not around long. Can you link me to that? Also, if he declines his QO, I believe he's a restricted FA. He isn't going anywhere for years. Even he knows that and from his actual mouth he's saying he doesn't want to leave, he just wants to win. If we aren't winning I hope he goes somewhere where he can win. This is nothing.
