Raps fan here expecting a win, but really hoping for a loss. Call me an anti-fan or whatever, but I've never cared much for the Lowry + DeMar era. Last year was a lot of fun, but the rest has bored me to tears.
I hope you guys get a big bounce back win tonight by 15+ points, but expect a close win for Raptors. Then I get to see this core for another 4-5 years...Ugh.

The NBA would obviously rather have a TOR-CLE match-up. Hopefully Silver didn't give the refs 'stern' orders to make sure this happens.

Not to sure that the NBA wants the Raps vs Clev. If milwaukee is an up and coming team then im sure the NBA wants to see what they have. Raps are as good as they will ever be they won't get any better with the roster that they have. At least we can get better lol.

If mids is not 100 percent then I don't like our chances in this one. Toronto has been more physical in all but one of the games. We need mids to put in at least 20 to have a chance.

Raps fan base is WAY bigger than ours. That alone means more $, and that's all the NBA cares about. TV ratings.

Disagree w/ this take. LeBron vs. the next big NBA superstar is more compelling than a nondescript Raptors team. Giannis is right on the cusp of becoming a serious household name and the next big thing - and a semi-finals series would take him that much closer.

I've posted about it here during this series, and other Raps fans get really pissed when you bring it up. But like what is the long-term plan? Paying Kyle Lowry that supermax, and then likely also Ibaka and/or Tucker basically locks you up into a core that is good but basically has zero shot of winning it all. And with the age of Lowry and Ibaka (?) the window might be smaller than expected, it might not be long before more of the younger teams in the conference pass them up.

I think the Raps win this series but even if they do I think the Raps would just be better off blowing it up, flipping Derozan and whatever else for young assets/picks.

Exactly what I was saying. Up and coming team vs a team that might be rebuilding soon.

Yeah, I think the NBA is way more concerned with global star players, than with teams and their regional fan bases.

Everybody wants to see LeBron vs Giannis.

There is no long term plan. None at all. I think the more reasonable Raptors fans are just enjoying the winning seasons while they last, since there have been so very few of them. I mean we basically have had a crap, or completely irrelevant team since the end of the big VC era. So now management is just riding it out and everyone's okay with that.
I'm in the very small minority(probably 5 percent) of fans that see it differently. Last year's conference finals appearance satisfied my desire to see this team not be a joke. It was a fun year. But I understand we beat a mediocre Pacers team and a Heat team that was without Bosh AND Whiteside. So we essentially coasted until we got destroyed by the Cavs. I mean we won 2 games, but we got obliterated in our losses. The 2 wins made the series look way more competitive than it actually was.
I'm ready for a blow up, letting everyone walk and trading DeMar for a top 10 pick, but unless we got destroyed in this series it won't happen. Management is fine with the regular season record/treadmill team situation. Most fans are too apparently as evidenced by our attendance while paying some of the highest ticket prices in the league to watch a non-contender. It sucks, but that's the reality.

One thing I thought of if just now if we somehow win this series and play Cle. Cle defense is just awful right now so should lead to high scoring games. Obviously I expect to lose the series but hope to win 1, maybe 2 games. Either way, with the bad defense and high scoring games Giannis will likely have some pretty gaudy stat lines in the series leading to more hype for him and the Bucks going into next year. Which the NBA and Bucks should all like.

Lowry missed shoot around with back stiffness and Cory Joseph is battling a cold.

I missed work with front stiffness.

Go Bucks!

I guess everybody forgot about the Atlanta playoff series in 2010

I was at Game 6. Worked out well...

Without Bogut, we weren't doing anything in the second round. This is a bigger game.

We're not doing anything in the second round if we get through Toronto

The Bucks won't rest until the clock ticks 4, 3, 2, 1, as the Cavs are Loungin'. The extra rest might Knock Them Out of rhythm, while we come in Headsprung, which could help us pull the upset. Imagine That.
