you got two 2nd round picks after those deals, I think it's a win win. tbh

Spoiler:
But seriously, How you even came up with this? lmao

I would then package those picks for a future 1st round pick, top 30 protected in 2019, top 60 protected in 2020. After that, they can keep the it. I just like the idea of trading for picks.

My analogy: Phil baked a bad cake so people stop asking him to make dessert. He's busy cooking dinner.

So you think Phil's calling KP and KP just repeatly hits the FU button? I can't imagine there's been 0 communication between the two parties. KP said he's talked to one of the coaches about an off season regiment so it's not a complete blackout.

Sounds like a bit of a critique of Melo and Rose. Possibly CLee too. Those are the only guys on the team with around 10 years in the league.

Just for sh*ts and grins, I'm going to assume he meant Melo and Rose only, because that'll get things going nicely here.

He actually mentioned Noah's name when saying this so i think that's who he might of been talking about and i don't see KP meaning it in a bad way and just think it could be the language barrier thing.

Earlier in the season he said knicks were winning purely on talent playing streetball which was basically melo and rose thriving in their isolation.

Ever experimented with dinner when you're having company coming and just mess it up? There's your Rose trade analogy. He was messing around and hoping things worked and it didn't but it was too late and he actually had to show this cockeyed crap to people.

Ok - lol, you cooked a bad meal but now dinner's over. We all had a good laugh. If I come back over and you cooked that **** again, Phil? And if you tell me you're cooking it the next three times? Nuh uh. We're gonna have a problem with that.

He's already cooked three disgusting dinners. That and he's created a hellish environment around the dinner table.

Damn i'm a genius.

FutureKnicksGM wrote:KP was just giving Phil a little wake up call.

KP wants to win a championship down the line.

Based on the Phil Jackson experience so far, KP knows that Phil is not going to help him get there.

KP also knows that Phil's egotistical ass thinks he's God's gift, and that he's killing it as our President.

Phil aint going to give a **** about the noise surrounding how he's handled trading Melo, or the crap trades he has made, or the atrocious Noah contract etc. But KP is hoping that if he rebels a little against the regime, they might start to look in the mirror and hopefully sort their **** out.

From that skipped the meeting thread. Team Peyote were talking about the Triangle lol.

Not really a good look for a player his age and with his experience to be making waves. We get it the team sucked but show some composure with the media and you seriously need your brothers to talk for you?

Someone might be a little too sheltered. These are the reasons we need to draft a guy like Fox desperately.

Also who knows what type of bullschit his brothers have been feeding him.

A kid like Fox will come in and on day 1 take the bull by the horns and Porzingis can fall back a little. There won't be this pressure to become a leader.

There's truth to KP's words...

Clearly Noah's health was critical to the Knicks' success. Was Phil to blame?

I mean, we all saw the "practice" videos of Noah working out/praticing with Melo over the Summer. That said, it wasn't until that SECOND Home game against the Houston Rockets where every fan saw Noah no longer had the vertical he once did to challenge players going to the hole. Noah is not Mark Eaton. His verticality was a HUGE reason why he once grabbed 14-18 rebounds and put up double digit lunch pail points.

The other bitter truth is what ALL of us knew: Melo and Rose HATED playing the triangle, didn't want to do it anymore and at times, tuned out the coaching staff. KP doesn't like the triangle and trying to say that the coaching staff need to tailor the system to their stars in order to win.

The triangle is a problem but...the Knicks' problems are deeper than that.

I don't fault KP for idolizing Melo and Rose but he's also got to remember he's got PLENTY to worry about when it comes to his own game...and leaving for Europe w/o touching base with the team. That said, the Euro leagues are nice but the NBA is 10 times more physical. KP got banged up and I gotta wonder how will he stay healthy when Melo is gone and guys can beat the tar out of him in the paint without paying for it?

I'm hoping KP gets a mentor to teach him about playing in the NBA on and off the court. He's got a lot of training, weight lifting, and work on his game.
