Cedeno deserves a look for what he's doing in AAA. PERIOD.
Murton had a rough 1st half, but he shouldn't have been platooning to begin with after his great season the season prior.
I fully expect Moore to get pooped all over today & during his call up.
And if we don't see Pie again this year I will be extremely disappointed.

I don't even like Cedeno..
But JJ? Let's get serious here.
With the trade of Izturis it made sense IMO to bring up another IF and Cedeno should be given another shot at the majors for the #s he's putting together at AAA.
Scott Moore wasn't exactly killing the ball in AAA w/ his .265 avg.

That's what everyone said about Rich Hill for a long time. Bill James contends there's no such thing as a AAAA player and I agree.
Cedeno's been maybe our best hitter in the minors and he plays a position of need. I really don't see why he's not getting some AB's in the majors.

Pie shouldn't get called up until the Cubs believe he is truly ready and believe that he can help the team. They don't want to make the same mistake that they did with Corey Patterson.
Murton wasn't performing well so he didn't deserve to play. He didn't make the most of his opportunities but tough luck, he doesn't have the tools to be an everyday outfielder and only deserves to be a 4th OFer if he hits above .300
The Cubs don't need another middle infielder right now, especially another right handed bat with VERY limited power....
and finally, the same that you said for Murton can be said for JJ, who had 4 hits yesterday and 2 more today, earning him Mvp honors for today's game (2 2 out rbi singles)
