Yeah some of us new it was just Phil Jackson being Phil Jackson. Melo might have gotten a heads up from Kobe about how Phil operates through the press which might have lessened the effectiveness of what Phil tries to do which is probably why it never worked.

So you're bashing KP for calling the team out after 2 utterly shi**y seasons and saying that winning is paramount for him, and yet you want a guy who cries after a loss because he hates to lose and wants to win? Well, KP hates losing as well.

I think KP's shown he's got some maturing to do. If he's frustrated with the team's progress and the "dysfunction," then you don't skip the exit interview, YOU GO TO IT and voice your concerns to management. Obviously, the Knicks don't want to see this kind of acting act by its future star player. As I've said before, I think Melo's been KP's ear a lot. I partially agree with you. However there is a huge difference. Everyone here is saying how stubborn Phil is. So if he goes to the meeting and voices his concerns it will achieve nothing if Phil doesn't agree with him.

However now everyone is talking about it and suddenly there is a lot more pressure on Phil and Dolan.

Things like that are also probably a part of the reason why Kris said that this team doesn't have a direction. Normally you suck, you are very low on the standings and therefore you know you will probably get a rising star and you will get better in a few years. Knicks on the other hand win meaningless games by playing Melo for 35 minutes and end up with a probably nediocre lottery pick.

Don't get why Porzingis gets criticized for ignoring team president and sending messages through the media. Team president ignores his players and communicates via twitter and Charley Rosen. Porzingis, like the model citizen that he is, is just learning from commander in chief.
