Shame this games turned into all that fouling at the end - it was really ridiculous. Something should be done to prevent crap like that, but not sure what.

There is a solution. Tell Adams not to stand 5 ft behind the screener and allow Harden to attack the lane. He has almost no choice but to foul him like he did.

The Rockets are much better than the Thunder especially when Westbrook can't close the deal in the 4th quarter. The Rockets played average/below average yet still beat the Thunder in 5.

PREACH!!

Harden gets about 6-9 completely undeserved points per game based on horrific foul calls.

On the other hand, watching Westbrook this series, he is a little bit overhyped as well. His game management is terrible and he completely disregards his teammates when its not convenient for his inflated assist numbers. Watching guys like Kawhi, Durant and LeBron in close games is the complete other side of the spectrum in the last 5-10 mins of a game.

Scorers get hot and cold. Didnt look too tired to me, just frozen

Completely out of rhythm AND tired.

OKC has absolutely no spacing when Dipo, Grant and Roberson out there at the same time. Donovan's lineups are stupid as **** and it pisses me off.

you can't win by how OKC is playing... Westbrook is a great great talent, but he needs the right coaching... the team is full of capable players, but they need a better structure... you can't let Westbrook basically do everything and make everybody else incapable... just stupid coaching for Donovan

There's no way in hell, James Harden is going to average 16 fts against the Spurs if they do end up playing each other.

None of them is MVP. The true MVP is LeBron.

Agreed... Lebron or Kawhi

Not trying to say thay aren't better players... but how exactly were they more valuable to their teams during the regular season than Russ? That's the definition of the award, right?

I'm glad he didn't shake Harden's hand. Harden's constant flopping and ref-baiting is what's really unsportsmanlike.

Final series averages for the 2 MVP candidates:

Westbrook --------> 37/12/11
Harden ------------> 33/06/07

Will have to wait awhile to know their PER's for the series.

Pretty much what you would expect coming into the series. Westbrook the better player, Harden on the better team.
Thank you Nico!

Good effort to OKC, I wish you guys the best of luck. Westbrook is a beast and I'm glad he stuck around after Durant turned tail and ran, dude deserves whatever accolades are coming his way. I know tensions run high during a playoff series and we all like to talk **** and point out all the other teams flaws and bs. I don't even mind, it's the nature of sports talk. I'm very happy to see at least most Thunder fans can take their lumps without resorting to "Yeah well team xxxx will just knock you out next round" crap I've heard from other fanbases *cough*Mavs, Clips*cough*. I hope your management can reward Westbrook's loyalty with a winning team around him. As long as it's not at the Rockets expense of course.

Series went exactly as I thought it would. Russ completely outplayed Harden, but Rockets won because Harden's supporting cast is miles and miles better. In fact, they were better with Harden on the bench this series. Meanwhile OKC completely collapsed whenever Russ was on the bench.

I said during the year. I think the battle for MVP was between Kawhi and Russ. Would have been Lebron but he decided the regular season didn't matter. I just can not buy into a player who free throws his way into numbers. It is the constant looking for fouls on play after play after play. I swear to God I think Harden thinks every possession his number 1 job is to get to the line.
