How is Joe Johnson still this good? And how did the Jazz land him?
I just want to complain a bit about the officiating a bit. Just a bit. It was driving me insane how much they were letting DJ get away with setting screens. Not only were they moving screens, but, he was shoving defenders with both hands out of the play. I don't see how you don't call that. I know a metric butt ton of things weren't called this game, but, those screens by DJ really bothered me. /end rant.

"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Yea, he does shove a lot for sure. But in all fairness I see it constantly from almost all bigs. Handchecking was supposedly outlawed but it's made a huge under the radar comeback.

Old Joe is just turning back the clock like Pierce did with the Wiz a few years back. Expect Doc Rivers to sign him a year too late.
And if you are a fan of illegal screens, you are gonna love the Warriors! We have turned setting questionable picks into an exact science. You can't call 'em all!

Doc will probably trade him in 3 team trade and get Vujacic and Calderon
Then tell adoring media that what the team always lacked was outside shooting.

I was to say that, our screens are not only illegal, they deserve to be immediately deported

Well, the Jazz aren't exactly guiltless in this area either. Not every Gobert screen is perfectly motionless. But, he's not giving folks 2 hand shivers as they go over the screen and not being called on it either.

I have to say at least 2 fouls called for him was ridiculous. One screen fould and other one when CP3 actually made the foul.

Re: WCQF | (4) LA Clippers vs Utah Jazz (5) | TIED 2-2
The moment we lose Blake, our only advantage for the series was having the best player on our side. On the other hand, Utah has youth, depth, coaching and home court. Having the best player get us game 3 and home court back, but Utah's part is still so heavy to take care of.
Going in to the game 6, i don't like our chances, probably come up short again with pathetic effort on D. hats off to the Utah for good basketball and their dignified stand. Finally, huge thanks to CP3 for still keeping us relevant to the series, such a competitor. We would have been clowned otherwise.
Closing remark; Fire Doc Rivers.

Hahaha, jazz fans, y'all are my people but you guys are crazy. Talking about winning in 5 games when we were just fully healthy for our 13th game of the season and won by 4 points. Oh well, bring the crazy on Friday!!!

The injury factor will even by series end. Jazz played 4 games without one of their two studs--same as Clips and Blake. Winning without Rudy and Hayward is the difference for Utah.
This game wasn't as close as the score made it seem. Of the Jazz' 36 3s, probably 25-28 were wide open, uncontested shots. Just missed much more than you would normally expect with those quality of looks from that quality of shooters.
Clips, meanwhile, shot 43% from 3 despite mostly shooting with a hand in the face.
Throw in the big disparity at the line, and the Clips had a ton of incedentals go their way.
Jazz should take game 6 without too much trouble unless CP goes full god-mode.

Re: WCQF | (4) LA Clippers vs Utah Jazz (5) | TIED 2-2
I'd be absolutely content if we get the same type of shots next game. It's impossible to shoot worse on wide open 3s than this. There was a stretch in the first where I counted 7 straight possessions wide open 3s and we only made 1 of them. I can live with this.
I've been saying for a good while that this Jazz team is being massively underrated by most fans and pundits. This is a legit ~60 wins team if they have anything close to normal health. I love this Jazz team. It's quite possibly my favorite Jazz team of all time and this includes the finals teams. They keep getting dealt blow after blow, but they keep plowing through it, adjusting and moving on. This has been a real fun series marred by injuries. Still as a basketball fan you cannot really ask for much more than what those teams are giving given the circumstances. Close games, comebacks not only in the series but in individual games, amazing clutch performances. Kudos to both teams.
I still think the Jazz are the better team both healthy and injured and Quin has been schooling Doc the whole series. I cannot ask for much more from him really. He's taken command of this series, he's prepared his team, he's made adjustments, his rotations have been much better than in the regular season. Overall great job so far. Now, the hard part - to finish the series strong and not allow a let down from the team. GO JAZZ!

Cause it's Chris Paul the protected one. I always love seeing this guy lose....maybe even more than Lebron.

Re: WCQF | (4) LA Clippers vs Utah Jazz (5) | TIED 2-2
Surprised that Doc said after the game that he was happy with LAC's defense but actually UTA had their way moving the ball around and finding good looks virtually all game.. They just missed the shots they normally make. Overall this should have been a double-digit win.
The Jazz have been injured this series. Right now Hill looks exhausted/injured. Hayward is not himself following the sickness. Gobert does not look 100% fit either.. He is the most indispensable Jazz because the team is kind of built around him and his impact is off the charts. They were lucky to survive without him. If Hayward or any other player goes down, it's not the end of the world. Another guy will step up, the roster is deep, they can win the series.

Of course Doc would say that. He probably thinks Craw, Pierce & Baby Doc need to get more run together so they can hit their stride. What other coach runs 10 deep in a crucial playoff game with a team that has a bad bench? Unbelievable.

Everyone needs to appreciate Joe Johnson. He is the last of a dying breed. We dont see strong built guards/ forwards like him that are clutch and have a backdown game, ISO game, and ball handling abilities. This new era is all about small light athletic scorers with the exception of a few players. A patient offensive skill set changes every thing

Being a Nets fan, one one of the (well only) happy moments in the Brooklyn era was watching JJ nail buzzer beaters and bullying Demar Derozan in the Toronto series.
Guy is criminally underrated in the grand scheme of things in my opinion.
That being said, it hurts my heart watching CP3 lose in the playoffs year after year, dude just wants it soooo bad you can tell how frustrated he is.

You're surprised that Doc made an idiotic and oblivious statement? It's part of his daily routine at this point.

This series was over when Jamal was left on the court to "defend" Joe Johnson in Game 1. It was really over when Blake injured his toe. Actually, it was over when Doc didn't get fired last offseason. Regardless, it would take miracles to win this series.
I don't think the Jazz will be crushed next round, I expect them to put up a fight and at very least scare the Warriors. I'm going to be very disappointed if it doesn't at least go 6.
