Why does Zizic have a low ceiling? Did Jokic have a low ceiling? Zizic is fundamentally sound and never, ever takes plays off. He will be a killer as the roll man on high pick and rolls.

That is just mock draft talk. Based on his meteoric rise already, who knows and why worry about it. It remains to be seen if his put backs and defensive presence translate to NBA. Watching highlights I am pretty sure they will.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

The ECF battles between 22-year old Ante Zizic vs. the 38-year old Thon Maker are gonna be epic.

It's so dumb. People think playing basketball at a high level somehow lowers your ceiling. We love College Freshman, even though they are really sophomores and juniors by age.
We won't draft guys if they are juniors. Kinda ridiculous if you ask me. Age is a factor, but 18 and 24 is the age. Not 18 and 19.

Abdel Nader Ready to Build on Successful D-League Season
Nader’s first season in the D-League went about as good as it can for any player. He was named the 2016-17 D-League Rookie of the Year after averaging 21.3 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.9 assists and one steal per game while shooting 35 percent from three-point range. He was also named to the All D-League Second Team and the All-Rookie Team after finishing eighth in the league in scoring.
“When I sat down with the front office of Boston and my agent, we decided this was the best situation for me after getting drafted,” Nader said. “When someone drafts you, even if it’s for a stash pick, it’s a good thing. It shows that an NBA team believes in you and they’re willing to invest in you as long as you’re willing to invest in them.
“It’s a great feeling to know that Boston has my back. They’ve supported me through this whole D-League stint. I’m very grateful for the opportunities they’ve given me. Nothing but good things have come from it.”
Now, Nader will turn his attention to the offseason. He’s going to begin training in Chicago and will likely head up to Boston in June. Shortly after that, Nader and other players will prepare for the NBA Summer League.
...
“I’m always working,” Nader said. “I’m not too worried about [staying ready]. [This offseason] is big. You always got to stay in the gym because if you’re not, someone else is. That person might be competing against me for a roster spot one day. I want to be as best prepared as I can.”

Dude, he still has a lot of growing to do as a pro, but playing against argueably the best team in EU and averaging the numbers he is at the age of 20, you're underestimating him by a lot. I haven't seen Jokic and Nurkic's lack of athletic ability prevent them from being good.
Good assessment:

Do-or-die game for Zizic against Real Madrid. Tipoff in two hours. Or three hours. I DON'T KNOW.

Agreed, his ability to drive and pass effectively at the 3pt line will be a very transferable skill to the NBA. That's why someone like Al Horford makes us a much better team when they are on the floor. They help take pressure off others.
Ante will also fit in very well in our offense. But he will also add to it by giving us a low post option as well. He reminds me of a young Marc Gasol.

Does he really have a low post game? I think all his points in the paint will come from pick and roll or cleaning up the garbage. And that is awesome because that means he won't need plays run for him. With the way our offense runs I think we have more of a need for that type of big man. However, I don't see him close to being a guy like Big Al who you can just feed in the post.

Nader (D-League Semis), Jackson (D-League Semis), Yabusele (D-League Semis & CBA 1st Round), and Zizic (Euroleague 1st Round) all got postseason experience but got eliminated this month. Maybe they should join the Celtics to know what playing in May feels like.

This is belated, but yeah. Yabu just has more moves than Zizic, simply put. I see Zizic scoring mostly off rolls and hustle. Reminds me of Robin Lopez a lot, now that I think of it.
Also, the stream I had of last night's demolition was the Bulls coverage. Surprisingly, not the worst ever, or at least not as bad as Houston. Anyway, the commentary team surprisingly hyped up Brown when he got in, before he even scored. They believe he'll be a more athletic Jimmy Butler. So there. Kudos from the enemy.

Great stuff here. It will be borderline criminal for this kid not to get a real shot next season. Truly believe that he can help this team and if that means that one of Jae or own ends up open to a trade for an upgrade, be it George or whomever, sooner or later Nader is going to help us win some games.
and that's "MR. Irrelevant" to you!!

I love all our stash guys. We got Yabs and Zizic coming in and probably Nader.
I would say Mickey, Young, Olynyk and Jereko are out. Maybe last roaster spot is Jackson vs. Nader. Depends on whow e draft.
We got a lot of quality in the pipeline. Not room for all of it.

First, I am not sure that is a fair comparison since Yabu is clearly a 4 and Zizic is clearly a 5. A 4 needs to show a lot more skill than a 5.
Second, in addition to the rolls and hustles, he has shown a pretty decent post-up game with a decent set of moves and touch around the rim. He has also put the ball on the floor in the couple games recently (including that monster dunk). He comes across as all hustle and physicality but he has shown deceptive skill. He has not shown any jump shot game, since he appears to never pick-and-pop, but he has a decent FT% so I don't think its unreasonable to say he has a decent chance of developing at least a mid-range game and, less likely but more useful, a 3pt game.

The question is going to be can Ante up the contributions we got from our Amir big this year?
And can Abdel outduel our Young limited wing?
Cautiously optimistic on both; good to have some possibly useful players in the pipeline.

Before each of their seasons started, my personal excitement (hype) rating went as follows:
Top
1. Brown
2. Nader
3. Yabusele
4. Zizic
5. Jackson
Bottom

I can't wait to see what the dancing bear can do in the NBA. I've always been on the Nader train, but Zizic jumped up for me.
The big thing for those three, is whether or not their games can translate to the size, athleticism, and strength of the NBA. They've pretty much dominated their competition... we shall see!
