Joe Mixon has reached a settlement with Amelia Molitor, the woman he struck in 2014 while enrolled at Oklahoma.

The two parties issued a joint statement on Friday, saying they had met privately and amicably resolved and dismissed Molitor’s civil suit.

I'm thankful Mia and I were able to talk privately," Mixon said in the statement. "I was able to apologize to her one-to-one. The way I reacted that night, that's not me. That's not the way I was raised. I think she understands that. Talking together helps move us past what happened.

"I know I have to keep working to be a better person, and this is another step in that direction. I love working with kids, and I'm looking for more chances to do that kind of work. I want to lead a life that inspires them, and I hope I can lead by example from today forward."

Still doesn't change the fact that a number of OU fans I know locally who have seen every play of his say he's dumb as a rock and a Trent Richardson starter kit. Buyer beware.

Kizer: I combine Brady's mind, Newton's body
http://www.espn.com/nfl/draft2017/story/_/id/19203979/deshone-kizer-notre-dame-says-tom-brady-mind-cam-newton-body

Calling himself a mix of Tom Brady's mind and Cam Newton's body, former Notre Dame quarterback DeShone Kizer says he has the ability to be "the greatest quarterback to ever play."

"No one else can do what I can do," Kizer told USA Today Sports in an interview that was published Thursday. "And I've truly figured out in this [draft] process, if I can maximize all my potential in every aspect of the game -- this is bold -- I do have the ability to be the greatest quarterback to ever play.

"Imagine taking Brady's intellect and Brady's preparation and putting it on a guy with Cam Newton's body. Why can't I be the greatest? The only thing stopping me from is me. That's what's driving me now."

Kizer tweeted later Thursday that reaction to his remarks have been taken "way out of context."

If this dude is drafted before the 3rd round, the GM drafting him should be fired immediately.

Very excited that Ryan Grigson will not be making the draft choice for the Colts this year!

I think in 5 years when we look back at this draft, the only truly impressive QB will be Deshaun Watson. There will be a couple decent QBs like Kizer and Chad Kelly (my underdog QB of the draft) and possibly Mahomes. But I see a lot of busy potential in most of them.

Honestly it's so hard to say. I've seen mocks with 6 QBs going in round 1 to mocks with just 2. I think he would fit really nicely on a team like the Jets or the Cardinals, idk if he'll end up there though.

Look out for that Dobbs kid out of Tennessee. Could be a sleeper.

Yeah, I'm actually with you on this one, I forgot about him. He would fit nicely in the Chiefs IMO. If anyone has a chance to become this year's Dak it's either him or Kelly
