Really hope we take a WR in the first after trading down.

3 of them outside the top 10 so with that many teams after the pick it should be a pretty big haul and at this point I'd be surprised if the 9ers pick at #2.

Cleveland's 2018 first would be ideal. I'm projecting that they'll be picking in the top 5 again next year.

Good luck with that :) I'll be on the other ship with my expectations. Been wrong before. Maybe I'll be wrong again.

With Cleveland being a moneyball team I don't see them giving a 2018 1st up.

BUT Haslam is still a wildcard in all of this and if he really is pushing for Mitch they might be willing to pay the price especially with if there are multiple teams seriously after the pick.

I'm not completing doubting that they won't end up with another first somehow. I am doubting that they'll wind up with number 1 and number 2 overall. Not going to happen IMO. Well, maybe I should say I personally don't see that happening. I don't see anybody else coming up to number 2 as well unless it's for considerably less than in the past.

I think if we do move back, we're probably looking at an additional second rounder this year. I'm not sure the market is there for much more this year. But frankly, I'd probably take that. A high second this year is probably comparable to a pick in the 20s in most drafts, and I just don't like the options at 2.

I will say, though, it's odd to hear that teams are crazy about QBs, but simultaneously hear that there isn't a market for the second pick. Those things don't seem to go hand in hand.

Marlon Humphrey - DB - Crimson Tide

Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline passes along that Alabama CB Marlon Humphrey " is the player being most overrated and could fall out of [R]ound 1."

The Cowboys and Eagles are among the teams that met with Humphrey during the process. Pauline's assertion that he could see the bottom drop out on his stock is not a universal one. NFL Media's Daniel Jeremiah has him almost breaking the top-10 in his most recent mock draft, sliding him off the board to the Saints at No. 11.

I think the Colts also want Harris. The Colts have been linked and seemed desperate for a pass rusher in the first.

Charles Harris - DL - Tigers

The Sporting News' Eric Galko hears that "[t]he Redskins will take Charles Harris is he’s available at No. 17 ... if they stick to their draft board."

Should Harris already have been selected by the time the Redskins are on the clock (as seems to be the way matters are trending), Galko ticks off Jabrill Peppers and Dalvin Cook as potential alternate options.

Since the time has almost come upon us I'll share one of my all-time favorite draft day stories that came from Daniel Jeremiah. Was in a group of people when I actually heard him tell this story.

DJ was at an all-star game as a scout and he walked up to a guy and asked him about his life. Player says how much he loves football and how he can't get enough of it.

DJ asked him who is your favorite team then? Player says it's the 49ers.

DJ says, "Cool, you're a DL. Who is your favorite defensive lineman on the 49ers? (LONG PAUSE)

DJ asks, "Who is your favorite PLAYER on the 49ers? (Blank stare with another pause).

DJ asks, "Can you tell me somebody that's EVER played on the 49ers? Player says, "You know? I don't really follow the 49ers. They're actually my girlfriend's favorite team."

This player was picked in the 6th round of that year's draft and ended up not making the team.

Thank you. Thank you very much. Love it.

Same here. If anything, Humphrey is underrated.
