Steven Jackson with one of the best suits of the week so far. Go figure. Great guy. One of my all-time favorites to watch.

Don't really have a strong opinion on Cupp either way, but I hate saying his name. And he's on the Rams. So I hate him.

A lot of DB records were expected to fall.

On the reverse of that. The OL record is going to be set for the first 2 rounds as well (lowest).

Feeney was Mayock's guy if I'm not mistaken. C or G possibilities there. Mayock thought he was a starter day 1.

Oh, but we got a 7th. Great. I don't like that move. Take Tim Williams or Jordan Willis and shore up the D. Bird in the hand.

This was a convo between Dub and 1z earlier this month:

Dodub wrote:Bingo, I like the CB from Colorado. What do you think of him

What's going on Dub? Hope all is well.

There are two well known corners from that program entering the draft this year. Chidobe Awuzi and Ahkello Witherspoon. I'm assuming you're referring to the latter.

Well earlier this year (somewhere way back in this thread we're in right now) I posted something about Awuzi. How good of a player he was based on the little I saw of him at the time. The following week or so, I wanted to learn more about him and that was when I got introduced to Ahkello.

The kid is a baller, I think I might like him slightly better than Kevin King because he has a little bit more of an upside. But when Pozz posted King's numbers from the combine (ridiculous/historical #s), I changed my mind again giving the slight edge to King as being the better player of the two.

I know I'm sort getting carried away in addressing your question, so here it goes in what I think of Witherspoon: The kid doesn't create turnovers, so I question his ball skills. HOWEVER, he had 20+ PBUs this year. That's insane bro! Because of that I think that shows the uncanny awareness / rare instincts that he posses for the position. I'll take that any day despite the fact that he doesn't create a lot of turnovers. I mean 20 plus PBUs, it's not like you're not getting opportunities...? So you got to question what the issue is regarding his ball skills. Other DBs find ways to impact the game (Adoree Jackson for instance, is a killer on special teams).

Besides his stats what I saw about Witherspoon is this: he's able to break up a lot of passes with his length and vertical leaping ability. He can break up slants with his long arms that he initially lost inside on. What sold me on him was how well he played against John Ross, who i think is going to be a stud / deadly receiver in the league. I already knew because of his size he was naturally equipped to defend and matchup well against the big and physical receivers in the league. But when I witnessed that he's also able to keep up with a speed demon such as Ross, I became convinced that he's worth drafting in the late first round if a team was desperate for a corner. He definitely has the instincts and the discipline to play the position at a high level. He stays on top of routes and cuts the receivers off from the ball - he also stays patient in his back-pedal and lets his man declare his intentions. Sorry for this Pozz like post by giving you an essay.

Willis is pretty good at this spot IMO. I just want to know what he'll be asked to do first before I say too much because he's not a fit for everybody.

Titans having a really good draft I wouldn't have been against the Niners drafting Taylor.
