Leonard versus Harden. What a great match up for the next round.

Pop's system vs. D'Antoni. Beverley will play Parker hard but Parker found something tonight.

All-around, I put Leonard way on top of Harden. Leonard's a superb 2-way player on both ends.

I necessarily don't like the ISO ball that the Spurs get into with Leonard down the stretch, but I do believe it is for Leonard's development. Even though he is an MVP Caliber player already, I can see where he can tighten up some things (i.e., his dribble gets suspect at times).

That being said, I don't count Harden out yet. Not this year at least, to me he has turned a corner as a player who makes guys better around him and a leader. If he gets shut down, or becomes a non factor due to Leonard's defense I'll be shocked.

Leonard may primarily play Harden, but that could backfire if Harden got Kawhi in foul trouble. The Spurs may switch up looks on Harden, and try to make others facilitate. It'll be interesting to watch how Pop and D'Antoni counter each other.

Beverley is going to hound Parker at times in the games, so we'll see how it goes. I think it's different. Beverley and Westbrook don't like each other and I think RWB allowed Beverley to get into his head some. With Parker, it's just competition but doesn't seem personal.

Parker is too cool to be rattled by Beverely.

I also don't see the Spurs winning without LMA making his presence felt. Seemed like the guy was non existent versus the Grizzlies. 14pts on a 51% TS 14PER is pretty pedestrian for a guy making that kind of cash.

Does anyone else get mad seeing John Wall play?

Everytime I see him, I remember the 2010 draft and how we had the worst record that year. We totally deserved to get him.

Instead we got suck with Derrick Favors, and then....you know the rest.

Yea man SMH I was so pissed because I was following Wall since HS and knew he was going to be top pick. NBA screwed us on that one lol I mean how we almost break the record for the least wins but end up with the 3rd pick. With our luck this will be the year we win the draft :banghead:

Fully prepared to see us win the lottery and us end up drafting Harry Giles. The irony in that is Giles was the projected number two pick back in September.

A healthy Wall has a greater impact on the game than Lillard anyway. Even though I think he's a bit prone to overdribble, Wall plays good defense and is a true floor general.

That was such a horrible periodd for us...

Missed on Wall, passed on Cousins for favors. 2 kicks to the nuts right there.

Traded favors for dwill. third kick in the nuts.

traded the lotto pick to rent gerald wallace on a team that should have tanked for davis.

awful.

In the same draft, Paul George was considered a reach. But look how that turned out. I remember VC4P was advocating to draft PG that time.

Favors was considered a project, but was a good fit for Lopez at that time. Cousins would've been an excellent pick after Wall but the FO felt we already had Lopez at the 5, which would eventually bite us in the end.

In hindsight, the DWill trade was considered a sound one. Having a top 3 PG was a good way to attract other stars. But who would've thought he'll turn out to be a lazy, overweight, unmotivated, no care in the world, ungrateful prick? I will forever hate him for dragging this franchise down after it gave him everything...

The Crash trade was disastrous! Billy was stupidly confident that he didn't put further protections on the pick (now everyone's protecting picks like crazy!). I remember BK quoting that they don't find anyone outside the top 3 who's better than Gerald "freakin" Wallace. Hello Lillard! Hello Drummond! Hello Barnes! Hello Green! Hello Middleton! And.... if it weren't enough, King RESIGNED Wallace to save face with one of the worse contracts ever remembered. And... would eventually cost us ANOTHER 1st round pick just so Boston would swallow that same contract!

And don't start with me on the succeeding transactions (Joe pick swap, Boston overpay).

I really hope we turned the corner this time with Markinson's regime...

I'm actually enjoying this game. It's always fun to see the Clippers lose!!!

On a serious note, Utah is fun to watch. Very tough on defense. Offensively, they're moving the ball and pretty much everyone is able to score. Snyder is a really good coach, another former assistant of Budenholzer.
