Thank God your weren't gm.. Mitch will be a career backup...coulnt even beat out a guy who didn't make the nfl. Tim Couch will be his career model.

If he keeps his head on straight, Chad Kelly plus absolutely be a star in the league. He's got to fix a couple of mechanical issues though

I agree if chad Kelly's head comes out his ass he could easily be the best Qb from this draft.

Please at least throw out a few reasons why you've come to this conclusion

He has the tools to make the team. I'm surprised that the Cowboys didn't go after him.

Nice Niners sign Noble Nkawatchu and Jp Flynn from Montana... I think he might turn some heads and even an outside chance to crack the regular season roster.

Kind of like how Tom Brady had to split time with Drew Henson, who wasn't good enough to play in the NFL?

It's college. They go with the more experienced guy.

And by the way, if I were the GM the last decade, the Niners would be a hell of a lot better than they are:

Shane Ray & Frank Clark instead of Armstead & Tartt.

Bradley Roby instead of Jimmie Ward

Tyler Eifert instead of Eric Reid

Cordy Glenn instead of AJ Jenkins

Derrick Morgan instead of Anthony Davis

Brian Orakpo instead of Crabtree

...and I would've traded Kaepernick after he f***ed up in the NFCCG when Niner fans were anointing him a future HOFer (I knew his lack of QB intelligence couldn't be fixed, and Baalke didn't).

Actually Sick I normally agree with a lot of your Picks usually.. To my eye watching UNC games Mitch is a 1 year wonder with potential NFL upside of Ryan Tannehill or maybe Sanchez...

Although I would gave gone Earl Thomas over Anthony Davis. For me none of the qbs this year were first round talents. Mitch in the second round would probably be a good gamble.

I have hated most if Baalke's drafts. Despised the Armstead pick. Loved Roby coming out of college... But saying you could do better than Baalke is a low bar... You could probably have pulled a homeless guy off the street and had him spin a wheel with players names on it...and had that work out better.

This year's draft overall I think Lynch did real good. The glaring wtf moment when he traded up to select hillbilly Thor as someone here called him... when they could have sat back and Drafted Dobbs who has the potential to be a quality starter... Beathard has the potential to at best Be Chris Hemsworth stand in for Avengers 4... and most likely will be bagging groceries with nate Davis and Cody Pickett in the next couple of years.

We got to factor everything / ever players even the ones we have yet to make until 2018. Hence, it's Mitch Trubisky versus all of these players:

KD Cannon - WR - 49ers

49ers signed Baylor WR KD Cannon.

Cannon (5’11/182) started all three years at Baylor before turning pro, leaving school with a career 195-3,113-27 (16.0 YPR) receiving line and earning first-team All-Big 12 from the conference’s coaches as a junior. While Cannon won with blazing speed (4.41) in the Bears’ wide-open spread, he is a chronic body catcher and one-trick lid lifter whose tape lacks nuance and any hint of physicality. He also showed unreliable hands, dropping nine passes in 2016. PFF College compared Cannon to Travis Benjamin, which is probably his ceiling.

I'm in full support of how ShanaLynch managed the draft on day one. But in the second and 3rd day, if I were the GM i would have drafted this way:

Solomon Thomas
Rueben Foster
Ahkelo Witherspoon
Tim Williams
C.J. Beathard (just to pleased our HC)
Joe Williams
Bucky Hodges
Elijah Qualls

Oh dear lord, don't tell me that we actually have people who think they should be NFL GM's when they wouldn't even qualify for an entry level position.

Tell me that's not what I'm hearing.

What you're hearing is that my picks were better than any 49er GM's picks since Bill Walsh left after the 2001 draft.

And the person who drafted Trubisky ahead of Solomon Thomas is an NFL GM.

When people like a move, they drop the "Don't criticize a GM because they do this for a living" card. But only when they like a move. :noway:

Yeah, I hate when people on this forum play that card, then are the same people that go and criticize a GM when their decisions go wrong.
